Concerning your point about defensive midfielder, what would be the stats your looking for? Not talking about beast like was Vince Lemieux in his prime, but for a good NT Def-mid.

I do train mid, but I tend to go for wingman, so lots of pace, passing, tech and PM. Def goes up slowly along the way with side pops, but it's not a priority.

What stats would need to be sacrifice the get more defense, in your opinion?

personally I prefer the def/mids in front of the defence to be at least with Brilliant defender. Personally in my team my def mid is superdivine def.

My reasoning (which might be wrong mind you :P) is that i prefer to try to have someone trying to stop the opponents creative mid or their striker in midfield and somehow reduce the pressure from the defence since the aim is to take control of the ball before.

On the attack note this will help to win most of the tackles in midfield area which helps to create even more chances and probably counter attack better. Keep in mind that most of the Mids have high tech making it more difficult to win the ball. So high defensive skills in mid makes your chances to win the ball there even more.



So basically sometimes I prefer to renounce slightly the playmaking or passing (not technique) and have more defence instead.

I tried for sometime with Oscar the Grouch Justice (with unearthly def) ....The best player for it at the moment is Antoine Zaharijja but he is too much injured and out of form cause he is my ideal player there.

We have other who can do the role, and in fact I used them a couple of times who are Mita and Capobianco.

He still can give us 2/3 good seasons but unfortunately I only had him 3/4 times this season and the best form he reached last season was good! Hope this season gets better. He is out for another 21 days!

I would prefer mita with less playmaking and more pace.

On another note I prefer to have all my mids with at least incredible def and even the attack. I believe that high def in the attacking area is vital to create more chances since a lot of defenders have high def but somehow lack a bit the technique making the chances to win the ball in their midfield for a mid or striker with high defence skill much more higher.

Great hints fsoler, might try to adjust my futur training plan to include more training.

And about player form, this has a huge impact in this game. You will train a player for 10 or 12 seasons for the NT and he will suffer bad form for 2 seasons and barely play, wasting all the effort. I think that this is a huge concern for this game.

Hattrick, for example, have a less wide form range platform, ranging from 0 to 10 I think, but form usually stay around 8. In Sokker, form range from 0 to 18, and it can be anywhere within that. It's even a factor to me when I browse the market for players.

yep I agree....form issue is a big problem around here. You have to be really patient and wait the right time. I had 2 players in my team stayed 1.5 seasons poor form than all of a sudden in teh last half of season 2 went up to superdivine form!

Cant really understand how this form works but actually no one really did. We have some hints we know effect form like position, orders given, how much he plays, injuries, transfers etc

I tend to leave better players out because of the form cause the performance of a low form player most of teh time really sucks.

Thanks to those who voted for me. It was a very close call. Winning only because I am an older user. Got the same amount of votes as last season. Anyway now the election is over and we need to focus on the NT. tomorrow will be working on setting a fixture schedule for the season.

Dear all,

Election started and I decided to contest again since I believe that we can do well if we have continuity.

We worked hard these two season. Had some ups and down but had some great results too, especially against stronger teams.

You know me well now so I am not going to waste your time telling you about me and my project.

This last seaon could have been better in continuity of results cause otherwise i beleive we did perform well most of the games and we have very good basics now to do well irrispective if you elect me or not.

I prepared a competitive squad for the wcq so whoever comes after me should find quite some good players to work with.

These last 2 seasons we drastically reduced the avrage age of the squad as well so Canada has a nice future ahead.

I hope you trust me again with your vote especially since it is very important to start well our wcq matches. However the last voice is yours and as in every democratic election its up to the community to decide.

Should you wish to ask anything as usual feel free. I dont really need the elections to ask your concerns and to keep you updated with what is happeing with the NT.

As the previous two season I will promise the canadian community the same commitment and dedication.

thanks checco appreciated :) It will be though but I believe in the canadian community. I am sure that although Senior NT hadn't had the best season because we lacked a bit continuity , they know all the time and dedication I put for the NT.

Now its up to the community and I bow to whatever the result is. I will still keep on working towards the WCQ, if Im not elected at least whoever comes after me finds all my tactics and an organised Database.

Now its a long waiting game :)

svik....the issue with db is that the one we currently used is linked directly to sokker so it make it easier for us to work with it....does it work with the same principals?

Yes the new db will work with osokker wé need to inform blue zero him so hé will do a new relase.i did it for bulgaria and USA the best time is after the world cup

oki cool...if it works with osokker than I will give it a try if I am elected cause it looks interested.

Sviktorov, since you seem a very committed user and you have Canada at heart would you consider being my assistant. I believe that we can work together and having a good up-to-date organised database is always a plus.

Unfortunately I did not have an assistant this season since checco took the NT U21 thus I spent less time on formations and tactics to spend more time on database updates and getting after users to update their players.

that takes a lot of work from the coach cause my work should focus more on studying the opposition and try to play better than them by using better tactics.

Thus I believe we can work for the best of the NT as I will have an up to date db to work with especially in this important season to come.

Obviously if the users elect me cause otherwise I will not be able to work with you :)

Sure but we cannot use that db and the other db in the same time for osokker plugin. So it could be implemented if both coaches are agree so that is the reason i suggest to wait after the World Cup of the youth team. I could enter the players so to prepare smooth transfer.

And yes i will be glad to help you with scouting and suggestion of the tactics.
Lets wait for the draw cause the new coach of Bulgaria wants me in his team and i do not want to have conflict of interests if Canada and Bulgaria are in the same group.
