today we played a friendly against Turkey. We were expecting to lose the game maybe with a lower score. Unfortunately we lost 4-1 but I don't think we did bad at all.

Tomorrow we will continue our adventure in the WCQ round.
After getting the first important 3 points, tomorrow we will be facing....AGAIN....another very strong team (seems we have very few easy matches!!).

CANADA vs Croatia 1-0 (Saturday 20th October 2012)

Dear friends,
WE DID IT!!!! we did a very nice surprise today winning against Croatia rating 10 more than us. We played the perfect game I must say and tactics work just brilliantly. We even lost a penalty and 2 clear 1 vs 1.....they lost a penalty too and some 1 vs 1 but I must say we did not steal anything. Considering Australia lost surprisingly today now we are very close together between the 2nd place and 5th place.
Hope we will continue doing well. This win will help us a lot in the ratings.

WE DID IT!!!! we did a very nice surprise today winning against Croatia rating 10 more than us. We played the perfect game I must say and tactics work just brilliantly. Belgium vs CANADA 3-0

Dear friends,
As I told you yesterday, it is very difficult to do a miracle twice. We lost 3-0 against a very strong team rating 14 more than us.
They played the perfect match and we were lucky not to conceded more goals. Our Tactic should have been better. They tricked me manly because they pulled back their defenders and our forward was too much back. But they never played that way so I did not anticipate that. I dont really think I have any particular to say about this match, they are better than us and they outclassed us. Their passing was to say the least impressive, and I must sincerely say that although I lost matches in my career even 9-0 Belgium today really impressed me.
However we were expecting this, and we have to look at some good points too.
Our keeper is very solid behind so that is a very good thing.
Moreover looking at the group matches played today, we had the surprise draw of Australia, with Croatia winning, we are still holding the third place with only 1point away from the 2nd spot. We must win next match against the Philippinas ourselves, but we have to be extremely cautious cause Philippinas can be tricky .With some ups and downs , against all odds, we can surprisingly end the first round in 2nd place. Belgium should on paper win against Crna Gora and then their is a direct clash between Croatia and Australia, and hopefully we get a result which would be favorable for us.
Again, I want it to make it clear that my target is not getting 2nd place, as I told you before the elections, However, how things are going at the moment, believing is not a sin and we should try our utmost to reach that target , even if the possibilities are extremely low.

Today we played the last game of the first round, and I must say we had a really good win 9-1 against a very tricky team who gave big problems to others.
SURPRISINGLY we are 2nd place after the first round! hope we manage to keep up this pace in the second round too, which is not going to be easy since the other teams like Australia and Croatia will do their utmost against us.
But dreaming is not a sin, and although our target was to try to reach 4th place, I think 3rd place should be at our reach and with some good work and a bit of luck against the big teams we can be the surprise of the group and give a hard time for the 2nd place.
