Croatia vs CANADA (Saturday 1st December 2012)

Hi friends,
today we will play against Croatia. It is a very difficult match even though we managed to win in the first round. I will sign for a draw in this match cause than we will play everything in our last two matches.

Not much to say. I assume all my responsibility of the defense, we were caught too much times!!! Although we can also be positive for the chances we created. Unfortunately we lost too much chances and against teams like Croatia who rank 6 more than us you have to score more. At soem stage I thought we could get them when teh score was 3-2 but than they just destroyed us.
Now we have a friendly match and than the two most important matches. We have to win those, both are at our reach though very difficult, and than pray that Croatia slip somewhere, keeping in mind they will play Belgium in the last match. But let us focus on targeting the 3rd place. That can only be done by 2 great results.

We must believe on 2nd place, now Croatia will play with 2 of my friends (today they played,philipinas was winning with belgium) and I'm sure they will do the best to help us :)

today we will be playing a friendly match against USA. I decided to play with most of the B squad to give some chance to others. Not an easy game but what I am looking for today is getting some new players in the squad so that we can prepare for next season (whether it will be me or someone else as an NT coach) since we will be having some important players reaching high ages now.

today we will be playing a friendly match against USA. I decided to play with most of the B squad to give some chance to others. Not an easy game but what I am looking for today is getting some new players in the squad so that we can prepare for next season (whether it will be me or someone else as an NT coach) since we will be having some important players reaching high ages now.

Dear friends,
unfortunately we lost with a high score again. I think I should be less aggressive in defense and get a step back. In midfield we created a lot but n front we miss too much. We are lacking strikers since the best we have are 29yo, 33yo, 32yo and next season is soon coming. All the three of them are very injury prone so we really need to find good reliable strikers.
On another note we created a lot and that means mid/att wise we are playing good. I need to sort out the defense cause we are scoring in every game but we are getting too much goals.
Next match will be a very important one for us since a win could get us mathematically the 3rd place in the group.
I will start preparing for that game as from today and will be preparing a complete new tactic for this game

today we will be playing again the WCQ. We will play a very tricky game against Crna Gora. We won 3-0 in the first round and it was not easy. On paper we are better but I did not underestimate them. A win today could mean that we will secure the 3rd place mathematically if Australia don't win against Belgium. Otherwise everything will depend on our last game.
Reaching 3rd spot will surely be a great target. More info in the closed forum.

Not a lot to say, quite a disappointing 1-1. It was not our day today. We missed too much but that is teh game. We conceeded their only shot. At least we managed to get them 1-1. Still a very important point for us but that means we need to be extra careful next saturday against Australia if we want to secure the 3rd spot.

tomorrow we will play our last match in the WCQ group. It will be the end of a very interesting group we had, but we really need to perform tomorrow to really close in great shape. We need at least a draw to manage to secure 3rd spot which would be a very good target.

Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. 1st half bit decent, 2nd half we just vanished. They dominated us from beginning till end. I am really disappointed on how we played today and now that the WCQ we will work on drastic changes.
Overall it was a good qualification for us, we managed joint 3rd place losing it only by goal difference, We had some nice games by winning against Croatia and a nice draw against Belgium. We did well but I think we could and should have done a bit better in the last three matches which practically destroyed our hopes.
Now we need a new start.
This was our last game in the WCQ...next matches will be friendlies, thus I will be playing new players and youngsters to start preparing for next season irrelevant whether its me or someone else NT coach. Some players over 30 need to stay out and we should start building for the next WCQ
