Subject: Users in Canada

It is really a pity to see Canada community users number go low and low. Today we reached a low 38 :(

Yes, really that is the lowest that I have ever seen. We got over 70 for a long time and even over a hundred, if I remember. But the native population has continued to dwindle...even to the point that non-Canadians dominate the forum!
Whenever I post onto the forum I have this feeling of talking to myself.
If anyone reads this, post a short reply, please.

This feeling is felt in every community. The numbers are getting low for various reasons. New users have difficulty to cope in the beginning thus they lose interest very early.

The problem is that the top teams (club level) 5 years ago rated 55/60 maybe?

Now they rate 80+

SO 5 years ago was fine starting with 300k money but now considering how much the top teams advanced, it takes very very long to be competitive, so people automatically just leave the game.

Old users leave regularly cause after a long time they lose interest especially if they won a lot but they are not replaced by new teams since it is very hard to be competitive and eventually start enjoying the game.

As regarding forum, before even Malta was busy but now always the same 4 ppl. I still post in the NT forum regularly every week despite rarely people answer or send feedback, however I still persist and hope that maybe someday I will get some participation and constructive discussion.

In fact this season competition I am trying to do something which makes the user more participants in the forum. Hopefully it works! The only foreigners that participate regularly are myself and checco at the moment obviously since we are NT coaches. So if the 10/12 regular users start to participate more, finally we will get the canadian community running nice again.

It is not an easy task but hope is the last thing to lose :)

I've been busy with university recently so I haven't been very invested in sokker, but I'm home for the summer so I might get back into it more.

University should always be a priority over any game.

However the fact that you still hold on to your team and keep it going its already good for the community. I dont expect anyone who is studying to waste a lot of time on forums. The main problem is not mainly forum participation but not getting new active users that stay here for long and losing old users and they are never being replaced by new ones.

I have been very busy with other RL things as well lately. I always browse forums though and check NT scores, sometimes when I have time I also watch NT game. I am also thinking about resigning as a mod soon, so if anyone wants to take over my job I will put in a recommendation. You get free plus :)

the main issue is not users who dont participate in forums cause as long as they are active in the game its fine. the main problem is getting new ppl in and thats really difficult especially to make them stay in the game.

sokker should advertise the game

yes I agree metro. but than they need to help new users not to leave as well
