Subject: [U21] Donni22

Hi guys. My name is Donni22 (in RL I'm Donato, 25 years old) and I'll run for Canada U21 NT.

I'm a quite experienced coach: I've trained U21 Pilipinas for several years, giving the team some pretty nice tactics (that are still in use in the U21 NT) and many players for the senior NT. I've reached some pretty interesting results, such as a draw vs Portugal (with a gap of over 50 position in the ranking), or some pretty well played matches vs Peru and Hungary (top 10 in the ranking), or another draw vs Malaysia.
Couple of seasons ago I've also been the ATT scout for U26 NT italian players.
Last season I've coached the U21 Wales NT, reaching a very important draw vs Russia last week-end (they ranked 24 and we ranked 66, so over 40 position in the ranking), but we didn't get any point in the WCQ matches, because of an incredible lack of defenders and no idea of our best striker's skills.

I've achieved some important goal with my team, playing in the italian Serie C, where I had the possibility to improve my way to play and to understand that we can always learn something from tough situations. I've just achieved again the Serie C, without losing any match, so my aim for the season is to keep the league, maybe without play-outs, in order to increase my sokker knowledge!

Coming back to Canada, my goal is to get the 2nd seed, in order to have good chanches to qualify for the World Cup. I'm sure that the upcoming season will be crucial for the new U21 CT, because it will give him the opportunity to improve his confidence with the DB and to give the right instructions in order to address users to train properly the potential NT players.

My best tactic is a 4-4-2, but I often play even with a 4-3-3 (I'm training strikers). I don't have any kind of problem in managing tactics, considering that I used to play with a 5-4-1 or a 5-3-2 when I was Pilipinas U21 CT.

My idea is that tactic has to change depending on the opponent, so I won't focus on a single tactic.
Right now I'm not able to tell you the best tactic for Canada, because I don't have the possibility to check the DB. What I can definitely say is that my main focus will be on the growth of youngsters, because they're the future of every country. As you can see for Pilipinas and Wales, most of the NT have been properly trained during my job assignment as U21 NT.

My staff will be composed of Lollopo il Listaio, joao aka paet, mattia-calcio and I'm trying to keep Apuleio as well, in order to continue the various activities held under checco's mandate.

One last info about my decision to candidate for Canada: I know solli in RL and he always told me about his experience while he was Canadian U21 CT. So I've decided to try to replicate what he did for your country. Checco was devoted as well, but he didn't have the same "luck" that solli had.

The first one is with my club in Serie C, where I won even being weaker.

Second one is vs Nostalgiadibaggio, that was promoted at the end of last season.

Third one is vs Portugal: Pilipinas got an extraordinary draw vs an opponent that was in the top 20.

Last one is a draw vs Kypros. We were weaker, but with a good elastic we were able to stop them many times.

First match vs El Salvador

First match: we've got a draw vs a weaker opponent.

I didn't have the possibility to prepare properly the match, because i had some physical problem.

Next match will be the first one of mini wc. Stay tuned!

Guys last week we won 3-0 vs Ireland. An easy game.

This week we didn't play friendly 'cause the Mexico CT didn't accept my friendly request. I'm largely disappointed with him and I can't understand the reason why he missed it.

Even Cameroun didn't respect our previous agreement, so we're now looking for an opponent.

Tough match today vs Moldova: we got a draw but we played with cup rules (Moldova's CT set them) and we lost in the overtime.... I'm quite satisfied but we need to improve our defensive approach.
