A good 2-2 draw with the Netherlands today who are very highly ranked, however, shame we threw away a 2-0 lead though :-(
We played 31st ranked Paraguay on Saturday. We led against them but just like our previous friendly against the Netherlands we simply couldn't get over the line with a win but ended up with a very satisfactory 1-1 draw.
Previous to the game we actually released 8 players from our squad. Some of them being really good players. But, given that this season we just have friendlies there really wasn't any point keeping 32 and 33 yr olds around given they all would be 1 yr older when the next WC qualifying campaign comes around.
I gave a debut to a 22 yr old and he actually managed a 66 rating. Given that he will only improve in time, that were very encouraging indeed! Also, when considering the players we released a rating over 70 fills me with huge optimism as this group of players can only improve because in our starting lineup there were only 2 players aged 30 and everybody else were under 30.
Maybe our youth policy is actually having an effect quicker than I/we were expecting? It's certainly helped with Henry's progression as he's already a much better player.
We could have some exciting times ahead and I'm very encouraged and excited by what I'm seeing :-)

WE ARRIVE AT 10! This season we will celebrate the 10th edition of the America's Senior Cup, we hope to have the participation of all the countries of the continent to celebrate all these 10 seasons.
The important thing is that each country registers its participation (any candidate) and then we will contact the winner to confirm the participation.

We lost to Chile 3-0 on Saturday. However, I'm starting to see signs of a team emerging that could actually qualify for a World Cup proper. Given the age of the team on Saturday, they will only improve with another year's training under their belts. Depending on our WC qualifying group, we could stand a decent chance next season. We'll need a bit of luck with injuries and form as we don't have countless players to call on, but if we can avoid anything major we'll have a chance. I'm getting strangely optimistic about our future chances :-)

We are ready for the Number 6 edition of the Copa America U20, in honor of our colleague, collaborator and Great person, our Uruguayan friend Carlos28 by his unexpected and hard loss, he was a great teacher for me as for many of you and a great person always and aware of each tournament of selections and as organizer I took the audacity that this cup was special and will bear his name, so it will be a unique tournament, we hope to have the participation of all the American countries and 2 guests to continue making the Copa América a recognized and respectable tournament.
Some of the Candidates can ensure the place of the Country in the tournament, after the elections we will communicate with the winner to confirm the participation.
