Well these last 2 matches are crucial for our qualification hopes. We just need a bit of luck and we might just steal this one.

I would love it if you all updated your players in the database or just send me a sk-mail with their skills. I need that if I am to pick our best squad.

I hope our keeper improves his form.

I am feeling the thrill of our next match...its an all in...if we win...we might just go and visit the next WC :). I want this!

Making the team tomorrow at work so please send updates on all your U21 players...I will look at them all and set the winning team!

I first looked at the report on my phone...and thought we did not have a chance when I saw we had no shots...but actually it was a tight game...it was the fact that their defense played without one single mistake...while their shots (most of them) came from us giving the ball away...it was the ME that had to make the difference to prove that skill does matter.

Maybe I should have risked more..but one thing is for certain ...the hardest position to train is midds and when a country has only few users the midfield is where you struggle most. This match we failed to provide 1 good ball for our strikers.

So this is where we need to work...but its not just up to us...its a bit about luck...getting the talented midds from our youth-school is tough in any country not to mention in a low users one. Getting 4-5 talents for the U21...its impossible. But there is hope...and if you are happy with me, I am happy with the help and players that this community has to offer.

So if its OK with you, I want to know if you want us to go on...and keep trying at this hard mission or you think that not qualifying means you want someone else to have a go at it.

I am asking this because next season is when a new coach should start (to get used to the team before the real job comes) and if you want someone new then just say the word and I will start looking for a new challenge. As for me...I have not met my goals and I am not a quitter...if you will have me...I want to keep at it until we go to a damn WC!!

Best U-21 coach there is! Hopefully we can produce more U-21 mid players, but as you said luck is required.

1. Friendly season coming up (unfortunately) so I was thinking of having a bit of fun...I will come up with some lineup games...and I want every Canadian user to propose a player from their team for U21 (I do not care if you don't think they are good enough give me your disastrous players but name one)....all proposed players will play in at least one match!

All proposals here please! (just the player name not the skills...I will sk-mail you if I am curious).

2. New strategy - Lets make a fan-base with foreign users (not Canadians) that want to help us grow our community....the concept is just like externalizing some company services, only that in this case...we get some specialized midfield trainers and we spam them with every player who we think has a potential...same for strikers, etc...they only need to waste 1 training spot on us each...and we are good to go :)

3. All you guys keep doing what you are doing...Metrotown thx for the strikers...keep it up or let us know what you have planned, luckyfab...thx for existing, pbril...thx for learning, laufer...I am out of ideas, etc...I wish I could mention you all but its late :)

He is fantastic coach though

Austria clicked the wrong invite and we have USA...we did not set any rule but I am playing U20 to give our players a good training...we are a bit more aggressive tonight and hoping to get a goal scored.

I do not know what to expect from this match as the opponents can play whatever they want but I wish we win it!

The World Cup group looks challenging. India are a "dark horse" as they are managing average ratings in the mid 70s. That is a country who are capable of beating anybody in this group, so that might actually help things for whoever gets the position in Canada. Even the bottom two ranked, aren't totally helpless so could trip one of the top 4 countries up along the way...
