It depends on the generation. Since we have too little players, the problem is to have a balanced team of a similar age

For example, in the previous generation, we had very good defenders, while we had few midfielders, and some of them were defenders reconverted to midfielders. And we had some good strikers but only one of them was top (Williams)

Now, the U27 has a few good defenders (not too many), the midfielders now are offensive but they are too young, and the strikers seem to be able to be top, but they are also still too young

Okay I’ll take it as it comes then whether I steer towards training those players mid or def. I feel like majority of teams use 4-5 defenders and only 2-4 mids, so it’s always great to have a lot of options for defenders. But I’ve never trained mids before, and so I might test it out.

Do you see those guys like Dunne and Mymoon making it as mids rather than def?

I can't find Dunne but both of them are very young, they have time to be whatever you like :)

Maybe it's more a question for the U21 coach
