Subject: Returning managers

Hi everyone,

I started playing about 2 weeks ago again. I played sokker before from 2009-2011.

Did some sleuthing and found my old club too:
Hokmeng FC which was named Warsaw Pact. and my old username: stanislaw92

Chatted a bit with another returning user: deathbymail Rainbow Sniffers
Funny thing deathbymail returned the same week I did and we are now both in the same division.

Not sure if anyone else has returned but I have noticed the decline in the Canadian sokker community and the general sokker community overall.
Hopefully the up and coming changes bring some life back to the game.

Any major changes to the game?

I am seeing stuff like the pitch in the stadium and arcade games for plus users seem to be big additions.
I was around when junior teams just were coming out.
And since the decline of user base the skill threshold for players seems to have gone up. Like skilled players are cheaper than they used to be from what I am experimenting on the transfer market (which seems to make sense).

Anyways just a friendly hi and getting a dose of nostalgia by remembering how fun it was to play the game.

Well I think there is more decline in the Canadian Community, there are very active communities, I am telling you about my country, Venezuela, this active community, many technicians in selection and a lot of healthy competition
Contests in the forum was a novelty with pools, drawing extra for 2 months
youth contests .. I hope they keep coming back or more users arriving in Canada

Yes I am seeing maybe around 100 users or more and the community seems to be more vibrant. Glad to hear it is alive and well in Venezuela. I think I remember Canada had maybe 100+ users but like 10 years ago if my memory is correct.

Kind of cool to see the history and old matches. Wish I could just see the player names in old matches.

I think I read an idea to retire some players too with a club. That would be a nice sentimental addition.

We need more schools .. we need to have more options for both selections

I looked through all the leagues in Canada and as of this past weekend there are only 5 active managers including myself that login regularly. Of the 24 Canadian users total around 12 are banned. 5-6 look like they will be banned (logged in last like 3 weeks ago). And maybe 1-2 logged in 2 weeks ago so not sure about if they will stick around because, of those 1-2 not having a single transfer probably makes me think they won't stay for long either.

Kind of feel we don't even need the 3rd tier in the league system at this point even if all 24 users were active.

once the new development is completed they will start to promote the game so its better to have empty divisions to avoid waiting process.

yeah the new site updates look cool from what I saw in the forum. hopefully draws people in. maybe add some new features too. But the core game is pretty good and attractive imo. No idea why there was such a large exodus in 2010s though. On wiki I think in 2013 it said 50k sokker users. Now says like ~9k on current sokker world page. still a lot in the overall sokker community to have competition but just a big drop.

For more than 5 years there were no support and development in the game the changes in the past were not well thinker so lots of users left seeing that major bugs are not fixed.
Now is different so fingers cross game will get better.

Anyone have a link to any changes that were implemented specifically this season? Like all the changes in one place?

I see in Dev Diary 43 something was cancelled:

In the end, some fixes, which were done as well:
1. Rule of 4 weeks is not in effect for transfers cancelled by admins;

When you buy a player, you cannot sell him before 4 weeks

There it only says that a cancelled transfer by an admin won't follow that rule
