I was born and raised in Canada and never heard of lucky boy. It's slang nonetheless on urban dictionary, so good to know and should not to be used.

But I doubt anyone outside an English speaking country would know of this. Unless you or someone you know spent time in prison here. Or know a lot of internet slang, which some people do from my Reddit experiences lol

My best striker got injured today and I have the champions cup game and the game against you next season :( he will not recover in time to be at full strength

The Champions Cup game is a big blow for sure because your opponent looks tough.

I think you'll still be competitive against me tho, my older players are dropping fast and your starting 11 is 2 million plus value players so they look like they are growing fast.

Also the new announcement for increase in player salary might make me sell a bunch of players too to not go bankrupt. 15-30% increase might add up. But hopefully the financial reform evens the playing field in the TL a bit more in the future.

Hi to everybody, 2nd season of my U21 coaching is over. I think, it was quite good season as far as our potential is..
We lost all matches on Copa America U20 (excluding the qualification), but we had by far the strongest group (all promoted teams from our group are already in semifinals and both are hot favorites for finals). I don't think there was any chance to bring a surprise from our team.
On other side, we had quite successful friendly matches campaign including the wins over very good teams as New Zealand, U.A.E., Guatemala and El Salvador u21, and as a result, we moved up the rankings by 7 places.
As I promised, whole season I supported Canadian home based players as Miloklizovic, Garnett, Simpson, Fisher, Justice, etc. My intention is to continue the constructive work and bring up good young players for senior NT.

Hello mates, qualification for World Cup already started..

1st match against Denmark u21 at home (1:3) was a good one. On possession it was an equal game (50% - 50%) with low number of opportunities on both sides. We scored a lucky goal, but compared to last qualification, our performance in defense and midfield was ok. Highest ever rating 44,4 is promising..

Yesterday, we played a match against Kenya u21 and it was probably the unluckiest match I ever player with Canada u21. It was one way traffic with possession 62% - 38% and shots 13 - 3. Our domination was clear as 70% of game was played on opponent's half. Kenya scored long range (30 m) goal after Miloklizovic mistake from the only shot in the first half. Our strikers missed several 100% opportunities..

This will be probably a very frustrating season. Despite we have good defense and promising midfield, our strikers are not scoring goals.. and reason is simple, Girard after sale unfortunately stopped to train main skill and he is now only formidable [11] striker - as our best, Sutherland & Howard are still young with striking on [10/9].. what is positive for future, both currently train striking skill.. I will try to customize tactics now to improve our attacking, I have some idea to use wingers and playing strikers closer to the small box to create more changes, but unfortunately, I do not have any tool to improve efficiency of shooting this season.

Anyway, there is one alarming issue.. There are no sufficient new players for junior team. Last season, there were only 4 useful (average) players. You promoted only around 15 players in total and most of them were weak and additionally are not currently trained regularly in theirs teams. Soon I will be forced to call up every junior, who will be picked from youth academy and will train regularly. Your help will be appreciated to stay competitive at least with weaker teams. What is a problem, you have 30 users in Canada, but you are producing lower number of juniors as communities with 10 managers :(..

I think the problem is it took a year in real time to afford a magical junior coach for my club. So the time it takes to even get any decent junior with a new user is the challenge for Canada.

Canada only really has 11 active users from the 30 (getting bot user info from sokker-manager.net). With only ~4 users more than 1 year with sk that have a junior team (getting info from Canada new user statistics from Plus)

I have some juniors coming up but will try to switch after the cup (week 6/7) to training some juniors as well.

But yeah the pulls are not always that great and I think they have gotten worse recently. Maybe anecdotal but I think they mentioned the pulls might be getting worse in the other forums because training is faster for younger players???
