The Sokker transfer system is frustrating. It is tough to lock down players if you don't go at a specific time, which can be around 1 am! You will get outbid at the last second. :( :( This is increasingly frustrating. Second, the bid time is extended if someone bids for a player I already bid for. A player opposed to being sold in 2 days will get sold in 4 days. Increasing an already long, frustrating process. Many of the tens of players I have bid for. I have been beaten by 2,000 to 5,000 by last-minute bidders. Now, I will not do a whole paragraph rant without give a solution or a idea tofix this problem, to last-minute bids and lengthy bidding processes. First, there should be a penalty for bidding late, such as having to pay 50% more.
The winning bidder should pay the second-placed bidder's highest bid plus the minimum bid increment of 10,000. The seller and other bidders will not see your maximum bid.
For instance, if you're the only manager to bid on a player, you will only pay the starting bid fee, regardless of your maximum bid. The players will only see what the bid is at. Not your maximum bid.
Now how does this benefit everyone and not just me. For the seller, people will be bidding what they are willing to pay for the player and not just increasing the bid by 3,000 every time. For the Buyer. They can put the maximum amount their willing to pay. If you set your maximum bid to 1,000,00, and someone only drives the price up to 500,00. Nice you saved money. It's like telling someone what to do, and you don't have to consistently follow up on it. It is a lot easier and stress-free. Now my plan doesn't have to be followed exactly for it to work. Maxing changes so it fits into the game is fine. But the sokker transfer system is frusterating and I am sure some of you guys agree. :)

The transfer system has been around for a long time so I don't think they will change it.
Some strategies I can suggest:
-use the filters and save the ones you use often to save time
-scout in advance
-mark a few players you are really interested in (pin on player page and they will show up on transfers page)
-use the tools (in Newbie Canada forum) to
estimate prices
- timing; can avoid busy days...great for selling but not for buying are Game days (Wed, Fri, Sun) and usually weekends and there are peak times everyday 19-21 SK time that could be busy from my experience. But also what time of season is it...end of season people offload older players while beginning season lots of people are buying in general. You will learn with experience
I think in demand players you will have to babysit otherwise really focus on your budget and some days I will just walk away if everyone is going over budget

+1 and I just add (for managers with small budgets)..
- as season progress, young players are cheaper (and doesn't mean weaker), 2 weeks before the end, you can buy quite interesting 16-17 yo plyers for low price.. at least, you can sell them for better price at the beginning of next season
- buy 18-19 yo players, they are significantly cheaper as 16-17 yo, and still they can be good after correct training..
- from business point of view, I prefer to buy players with high sum of all skills (excl. stamina and GK) not key skills - they are cheaper and after 4-5 seasons of training of key skills, you can earn a lot of money
finally, I want to highlight what devtopia already wrote, the best time to sell (worst to buy) is Saturday and Sunday whole day
