Junior team seems pointless to me. I have a great coach, still, no decent players have joined the ranks. Couldn't even get the tactics to work with the Junior League, so I withdrew.
Perhaps this isn't the game for me?

When players join your junior team they all suck, good is the very best that you can get. They slowly and haphazardly improve in your junior team based upon the general skill appraisal of your junior coach. If you have a great junior coach then you are probably paying him $60,000 to $100,000 per week.
If you want something easy then this isnt the game for you. I am sure that you can do well in sokker with patience and time.

I believe that this is season number 7 for me. How patient am I supposed to be?
EDIT: I stand corrected, it's been six seasons to date. Also, my Junior Coach is being paid just under $19,000. Financially, I would not be able to afford someone at 50K plus.
I was told that a player, who's worth was under 200K (possibly 100K) was not worth keeping. Every Junior player that I have promoted haven't even been worth 50K, and that is when they have been described as being solid. It just doesn't seem worth spending money on a large junior school, and coach when it doesn't seem to pay off, for my team, at least.
I'm not knocking this game, I just don't feel that my presence effects the team in any way whatsoever.

AT $19,000 wages your Junior coach probably has an excellent general appraisal. A junior player who might have talent of 4 with a magical junior coach might have talent of 5.5 with an excellent coach. The junior players real talent would be the same, but he would not pop in skills as often and not be as good when promoted.
50k is arbitrary. Age (and talent) is much more important. I am keeping a player now and after a few weeks in my senior team his worth is still on $47,000, and I believe he will be a good player:
Corey Stamatopoulos, age 17
value: 48 800 C$
wage: 1 040 C$
average form
unsatisfactory stamina tragic keeper
good pace weak defender
hopeless technique hopeless playmaker
adequate passing poor striker
And, I checked Vince Lemieux from Canada's national team. He was 18 midway through the season with a worth of $250,000. Look at the players skills: stamina increases worth, but is quick to train.
Anyways, there are lots of managers who are happy to answer questions and to help you learn how to improve in sokker. But, it is really all up to you. Good luck.

I don't base if I keep a young player in his value, but mostly in the skill distribution, talent and age.
My second best player ever I don't think was over 100k of value, but he was talented, well distributed and young. Now 10 season latter he is playing in the NT.
Saying that, I think that there is a lot of random in the academy (I am not complaining, because I got usually nice pulls), but the only way to be able to get nice pulls is to get a brilliant/magical coach.

My coach is formidable overall with several brilliant/magical skills. I just don't see it paying off after six plus seasons.
I'd like to thank stanislaw, and the others for all their help, over the seasons, but I resign.
Best of luck this season to you all.

I have brilliant j coach and lucky if I pull 1 decent Jr a year.
My opinion reading the posts it must be a random by chance thing.
Seems some get a couple to a few decent prospects.

good luck Mangus...
maybe this just isn't your thing
(manager games do take a long time to get going before you see results)
find something else and enjoy! :)

well cento is now solid with 17 weeks to go...had a little hiccup but is back on pace for being brilliant perhaps.
as for the junior school, yes i think its much more random now...its frustrating when a decent skilled youth drops once or even sometimes twice a level in only a week....but then again they can jump back up the week later
