Subject: Match Day
he he! How could you tell? My first squad looks like everyone else's friendly lineup!
Just hope I can give you another tough test.
Better luck this season - starting with your second match! ;)

:P It will be really interesting to see if Team Underdog can duplicate last season's success.
Anyone want to post some key matches? First week every match is a key match it seems.
The Paritzan 74 - Valiant FC match is always important. Partizan 74 has been the bridesmaid a few times, but I have a feeling they've caught the bouquet, and may be ready to step up to the altar. (How's that for an analogy :D). Should be very entertaining.

Found some matches that look interesting. Feel free to add others!
Snowhares - Partizan 74
CPL's current #1 against a perennial power. Snowhares offense has been dynamic this season, but Partizan 74's defense has a way of un-dynamicizing offenses.
Fianna FC - NK Duga Resa
Fianna FC on top of II.03 led by Kirk Fortner who already has 10 goals! Last season's II.03 champ off to a slow start and without talismanic striker Fitzpatrick (suspended).
Josavica - FC Lanciers
#1 vs. #2. Josavica also off to a dream start, Sorgente having found the back of the net 15 times already. FC Lancier's record transfer Stolarz is in divine form and doing damage.
Peace River - Real Hawkes
Old guard vs. young gun as Omar suits up against Lemieux. Real Hawkes offense doesn't appear to be clicking as well as it did last season. A loss for either team would hurt, as T-Syndicated has looked strong the first 3 weeks.
Edit: don't try the links until after the matches. :)

Tsyndicate
selling their top striker Jean-Pierre Deprince
added Feico Feijer , age 20 to the roster.
Not sure how this is going to work out for the future of Tsyndicate.

Real Hawkes has had a compromised midfield this season to date, as some priority was given to being competitive in cup games while not losing training. Since this weeks overtime voyageur cup loss - look for an improved and very stong Hawkes side. Omar, as part of a weakly managed Peace River team, will not be able to quell a torrent of goals.
I made a similar switch in the off season, T-syndicated shouldn't lose a beat.
From what were very competitive division ii series last season, I find that division ii series, including our ii.o1, are becoming segregated into cpl hopefuls and teams that are not strong enough to win league games. As one of the stronger division ii teams, T-syndicated will benefit from some easier games this season.

You're a man of your word. :) Quite the offensive display by the Hawkes. Seems Stevenson almost always has a good game when I check out one of your matches. Garnett and Lamontagne also pretty influential in this match.
Wow! Feijer must be a record purchase for Tsyndicate. Good luck with him. :)
plenty of shots -0 goals.
I will have to hold tryouts for top striker position.

A pretty dominate performance by Tsyndicated. Unfortunate not to get a better result. Seemed to be a lot of blocked shots in that match.
You did well denying Death Knight's wingers the ball. I think they are usually more influential on the game's outcome.

I looked around last week, but didn't find any fixtures that really caught my eye. Found a couple this week.
CPL
Snowhares - Jalea of Scarberia
Important match between #3 and #4. Both with strong defense. JoS a little more banged up. Lots of NT players on display.
II.1
Peace River - T-syndicated
#2 vs. #4, but only one point between them. Both teams need a win to keep up with Lorne. Contrast of youth (T-syndicated is Canada's 3rd youngest squad) vs. maturity (Peace River 118th in age). Both teams in good shape. Omar the only NT player likely to take part.

This is one of those really good weeks.
Couple interesting games in the CPL. Could tighten things up or blow them open.
Partizan 74 - DB Rovers
Jalea of Scarberia - Valiant FC
#1 vs. #2 in both II.1 and II.4
FC Warriors - Real Hawkes
Pills United - FC Lanciers
And though Hajduk Burnaby is looking good in II.3, the four top teams are facing off. Like the CPL, the race could get interesting, or it could end up close to over.
Ben`s eleven - NK Duga Resa
Bonavista - Hajduk Burnaby

Barrage Match-Day!
I looked at the 3 CPL qualifiers. If there are other interesting matches, please mention them!
Jalea of Scarberia - Surrey Crackheads
Roster Notes
JoS
Out
- Ribeiro (suspension)
Questionable
- none
Key Player(s)
- Wtih Ribeiro out, it will mean more work for ibn Khalid to drive the JoS offense.
SCH
Out
- Demo (injured)
Questionable
- Martinez (form - tragic)
-McKenna (form - good)
-Paquet (form - weak)
-Pawlusinski (form - weak)
-Stamatopoulos (form - poor)
Key Player(s)
- Renda's return to form may provide some spark. Tait will have to hit the net in Demo's absence.
Prediction:
Normally I'd expect this to be a pretty competitive match, but I think the roster issues faced by Surrey Crackheads are a little too much. Jalea of Scarberia by 3.

Snowhares - FC Warriors
Roster Notes
SNH
Out
- Abbsa Musa (injury)
Questionable
- none
Key player(s)
-Hiacynt seems to have become the focal point of the Hares attack and should see lots of the ball today.
FCW
Out
- none
Questionable
- Celali (form)
- Grande (form)
Key Player(s)
- I think FC Warrior keeper McLeod is going to see a fair bit of action.
Prediction:
This is the biggest average player rating disparity of the 3 matches - almost 12 points difference. Even without venerable Abbas Musa, Snowhares should have an easy go. Snowhares by 5.

Third Lanark AC - FC Lanciers
Roster Notes
TLAC
Out
- none
Questionable
- Callens (SI)
- Murray (SI, form)
Key Player(s)
- given most of the other strikers are banged up, Ruini should have more then his usual opportunity to shine.
FCL
Out
- Lixandroiu (suspended)
Questionable
- Brewer (SI)
Key Player(s)
Stolarz is probably the best striker in Canada playing outside the CPL. Will have to put the team on his shoulders.
Prediction
TLAC plays a solid game front to back but the lack of bodies up front is troubling, and an opponent striker like Stolarz could be trouble. I see Ruini scoring in added time for a 3-2 TLAC victory.

Thank you Seca for that wonderful insight....it seems as though you know everything...
