Heehee. Thanks for the offer. :)

As I hinted above, RL is going to change for me next year. I suspect this next cycle (Q-WC) will be the last one I can manage for a while. It would mean a lot to me to do it with Canada.

A popular question I have seen in election threads is this one:

What size shoe are you?
2007-10-25 23:53:56
Your campaign appears to have the momentum of a runaway freight train, why are you so popular?
2007-10-26 00:42:06
If you win will you play my players? Will you play a maximum of 6 players from your own team in any one game ?
And will you win the WC?
2007-10-26 03:32:40
I see the campaign has entered the silly stage. :P If you had a vote I might tell you, but since you don't, you'll just have to wonder ...

Ahhh. There truly is a Simpson's quote for every occasion. :D

Depends if Lemieux is getting pace training or not. I expect he will make the Canadian team at some point.

Will you play a maximum of 6 players from your own team in any one game ?

In truth, Evil Seca tried to convince me to make my final Canada match last go round an all Valiant (current & former) affair. Line-up would have looked like this:

STRIKER: Amado (current NT), Giacomi (current NT), Wang (current NT)

MIDFIELD: Curtis Gupta (former NT), Roberto Fleury (former NT), Diego Zucconi (former NT)

GOAL : Tancredi (former NT)

Defence would have been suspect. :D Conrad Stefanek, Jacob Sebrango, Abu Touchette and Massimo Denoncourt probably would have been the best 4 I could find.

I've become pretty good at resisting Evil Seca's suggestions. I think it highly unlikely I'd succumb. ;)

And will you win the WC?

No. There is a difference between optimism and delusion. :)

Very good you didn`t answer.., Gibby stole that question from me.

Really? I've never associated Vilpu with silliness. :P

I did see your contribution to Mr. Gibbage's thread. Very helpful for the American voting public. ;)

Congratulations on being elected as Canada's nt coach! again. Your legacy will be as a great communicator. Good luck in World Cup qualifiing.

Really came from behind in that one!!
2007-10-29 16:58:21
Thanks everyone for your support. :) I will put forth my best effort in the season ahead.

Will be chasing managers for updates this week. Don't feel you have to wait to be asked. :)

Just looking through Seca's thread and saw this quote from mr gibbage:

"What are your plans to counter your traditionally very bad luck in games where it counts (ie injuries to key players and sendings off) ;)?"

Prophetic!

Hope the win this week got rid of that bad luck, Seca! :)
2007-11-10 22:37:54
The bad luck is reserved for crucial matches. :) I wouldn't read anything into a clean match this week. :D
2007-11-10 22:39:17
I predict:

3 red cards
4 injuries
2 own goals

For next week :P
