It is election time again! You have the opportunity to stand for election as the national team coach of any nation, and to give your vote to your preferred manager of your own nation!
To access the election page, go to the respective country homepage, then click on National Team, and then Elections.
If you stand for election, it is recommended that you open a maximum of one thread in the forums, prefixed with [NT] , e.g. [NT] forestman. Please do NOT spam forums, SK-mail people directly for votes, or spam users Guest Books. Any of these spammy activities will result in forum banning and/or financial fine. Also, if you are running for election do NOT post questions or arguments in other candidates' threads. Their threads are for them to present their candidacy (and for users from that nation to question them), not for you to debate them.
Please remember that a user who has been elected as NT manager will not be able to resign from their job. Therefore when you stand for the NT job, it is not only for fun, it is also your responsibility to serve the full term which the people that voted you into the job thought you should serve.
The election deadline is 28th October so get preparing your speeches, asking candidates tough questions & voting!
------
Normally if you had a problem, you would contact your local Moderator. But since I am running in this election, I am going to try to steer clear of election issues (potential conflict of interest). I've asked a couple of the other English language Mods to keep an eye on things (Barhilo and Mr. Gibbage). So if you have an election related issue, drop them a line - or any other Sokker staff. :)

There was a little piece of information that was omitted from the announcement on the Entry page.
Some may have noticed that the voting page is a little different. Only a few candidates are visible initially. To see all candidates, the user has to press "More".
In order to get on the first page, a candidate must have at least 1% of the total vote. This change was made in an attempt to distinguish "serious" candidates.
This wasn't really an issue for small countries, but in larger ones the election page could be pretty confusing with a hundred or more candidates.

Bump this thread up, as it's election time again.
Like last time, election related issues should be taken to a MOD other then myself (due to conflict of interest). Once again I've asked Barhilo and Mr. Gibbage to give Canada a little extra attention.

Up again. :) The new election will open with tonights update, and will run for 2 weeks (closing June 8).
Unlike the past couple of elections, I am not running. So if you have any election related issues, feel free to contact me (or any other staff member).

sorry for using this thread to ask you this completely out of topic.
There is the idea of running an American Cup this season, so, I'd like to know if your NT wants to participate in it.

Is there no Canadian managers interested in running the A team this year??
Hehe, no I think it's someone else's turn....it's a lot fun. What about you Slavki?
This post is inappropriate for an "Election Guidelines" thread IMHO, bordering on spamming. (One or two of the prior ones may be as well.)

Agreed. This thread is about election guidelines and infractions. Any of the other discussion should be elsewhere. Candidates in their own threads. Coach banter maybe in the NT update thread (or in the Canada NT forum?).

I am running for U-21 NT coach, so can I ask question to the user who run for senior squad?
