Subject: Voyageur Cup

Just wondering if there are any thoughts on who my take top spot this season or how you squad my fair. The hares are hopping for a better result than last season :/ hehe but do you think we learned from last season?? At first glance you'll notice that Abbas Musa won't even be on the bench. I hope it's not too interesting...

I see things are going to be interesting.....

Kelowna Rockets - : - Valiant FC

Human opponent. :) Haven't played them before. Have most of my A-squad playing (including Wang, Amado and Biron) so things should go well.

Not sure about my team's cup aspirations. Have a change in training this season - cup success will depend on how quickly the younger trainees come along.

Some nifty matches in the cup this week. These ones look especially interesting. :)

Wow those are some good matches. It will be interesting to see how things pan out later.

Besides my own match (my opponent had some misfortune and lost his CD early), I caught Pills United - Hajduk Burnaby. Very good match. Pills played with 10 men most of it, but hung in there. I was impressed with Goodyear and Ferrari (wondered if they play on the same side on purpose). Manohar missed some chances, but came through when he had too. :)

DB Rovers make the trip to Real Hawkes arena this week for what should be an exciting game. We hope so.
Last season DBR won 3 games in a row by scores of 2-1 on their way to winning the Voyageur Cup. Why does Real think that they can upset them this time? Well DB seems to be training pace and may try to play mostly a B team. Real will playing with their A team with only one attacker given a mid order for training purposes. And today in a move meant to surprise DB Rovers the team brought in an older experienced defender from Poland.
Anyways, I hope that it is an entertaining game.

A number of interesting matches. I'm up against Fianna FC, which appears to be one of the hottest clubs in Sokker Canada presently.

Hopefully we'll be able to view the matches. They were out earlier in the week. I was able to view some matches earlier today, but can't get them to load at the moment.

That's what I figured. But I was a little confused when the cup matches I viewed earlier in the day were no longer available.

Biron's injury soured the Valiant FC victory. I had premonitions of of the injury since Sunday. Biron was a key part of the plan for Canada this weekend. :S It's the first time he's missed training, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Timing could have been better.

Couple games in bonus time. Could be some interesting results. :)

Well, as advertised, the Hawkes put in an exciting game. We won possesion and had lots of chances including 2 penalties..but, after overtime, we lost to a better goalie in Clemens and a better team, with Leblanc and a tough backline of defenders:(

Stats suggest the Hawkes had a fair bit of control in that match (tho I haven't seen any of it - and stats can lie :D).

I should have lost this round, but got lucky.
The good old reliable Hurne scored a pair and I won at PK's.

I just wait for Żółkiewski to be back....


P.S. A little of topic, but I went back to look cause I wasn't sure: Hurne also scored in my first ever sokker match :60253

Anyone know the status of the viewing problem for all matches except Wed games? The historical matches have been out all week. Sure hope they are not lost permanently. Are they working on retrieving them?
