BiH II

1. Parker will have a passing completion of 50% (or better).
Yes. I counted 3 passing attempts by Parker, and 2 were recovered by Canadians.

2. There will be more "play" (as measured by total pass attempts) on the left side of the pitch then on the right side of the pitch.
No. 37 pass attempts on the right, 28 on the left. Considering that almost half the match they didn’t have a defender on the left side of the pitch, this is a disappointing number. PM is good for what exactly?

3. Canada will have multiple 100% tacklers (4 attempts minimum).
No. Canada didn’t have any 100% tacklers. Abbas Musa had his worst tackling match this season. Wagenaar had a very poor match tackling.

4. Canada strikers will have more shots off target then on target (woodwork = off target).
No. Was close. 8 on target, 7 missed (including a goal post).

5. Amado will score as many (or more) goals as the rest of the participants (both teams) combined.
No. Amado was pretty quiet. Didn’t get a lot of service. Went 1 for 3 shooting, but he made a number of poor decisions with the ball which cost scoring opportunities.

6. Canada will have twice as many throw-ins as BiH (ie., BiH will kick the ball out 2X more then Canada).
No. I’m not sure my numbers are right - I don’t usually track this and may have missed some. My tally was 9 for Canada and 7 for BiH. The winning goal was scored from a throw-in play.

7. Canada will have more unassisted goals then assisted goals.
Yes. Canada’s goal was on a rebound, but no assist was given. Defender must have got a bit of a touch.

8. Play in BiH half + Canada possession >= 110.
Yes. 113. Usually a recipe for success. Go figure.

9. Canada will receive more cards (any colour) then BiH.
No. Canada received none. BiH had lots, including a normally crippling red card to defender (especially since he wasn’t covered by an order).

10. There will be a goal scored from outside the 18 yard box (either team).
Yes. Both BiH’s qualify. Good old Parker. Another match with a save percentage of 0.

TIE BREAKER - time of the first goal (either team).
63rd minute. Not for lack of trying. :)

Two legs left. Close race. :)

Greece II

1. A goal will be scored in the first 10 minutes.

2. A Canadian other then Amado will score a goal.

3. The referee will call 5 or more fouls (both teams).

4. Parker will save a shot.

5. Canada will be leading by 3 goals at half time.

6. Canada will be leading by 6 goals at full time.

7. Canadian defense will have 8 or fewer panic kick outs.

8. Canada will have 3 or more assists.

9. Canada will have 20 or more shots.

10. There will be a red card (either team).

TIE-BREAKER - predict the result and score of the Lithuania - Austria match. If two managers tie the tie-breaker, the "over" will get it. Ie.,
Player A ... 2-1
Player B ... 4-3
Actual ... 3-2
Player B would be chosen.

I predict that Canada will beat Greece, but that it wont be easy and wont be assured until near the end of the game.

Shots last time were 23-1. The way things have been going, a repeat of that might get Canada a draw. :D

I'm assuming you all are picking Lithuania to win? Should probably specifiy. :)

For the tie breaker I will look at:
- winner
- margin
- scoreline
in that order.

Good question. :) I've been wondering that for a few weeks now. :P My current thought is to "cross that bridge" when we come to it. :D
