Subject: SK-Aust Tipping Comp
You must've been on the net as you posted in this thread.
Even so, as with the previous argument in this thread, if I bend the rules for someone then where do I draw the line? I don't think I am being unfair by playing by the straight forward guidelines that have been set out.
This is all for fun and to get the Sk-Aust community a bit more interactive.

As far as i know... Achmid is using his Mobile to access the net. Not his PC...
i said i wasn't on the net on a computer. I am on a mobile phone accessing this page which is why i can't copy and paste and why i haven't been able to see or make tactics during any match yet. And also why i had players in the wrong position against cometer
Round 2. Lets get ready to ruummmbbbllllleeee. *ding*

An inability to copy and paste seems irrelevant to me. But again, this is making too much of a silly situation.

harsh. Heard that from me before. I'd like to see you try and copy paste or type out the full thing on a mobile phone, i doubt it would be that easy ;). Anyways if that's where you draw the line, I guess it's your competition.
Next someone will type initials only and get deducted for not spelling out the entire team name ;).

Honestly i'm with agbell on this one. You can't juse say I'm using the same tips as someone else. Also I specifically recall that rule about blatantly copying someone else's being in there from day one.
yeah depends on what you consider to be blatant. My interpretation of that would be towards the latter half of the competition to make sure you don't lose.
Besides which, it wasn't like it was going to be more than a 1 time thing anyway, nor was it a deliberate action to gain something others didn't have the chance to.
Similarly, I also thought vivski was a bit hard done by as it wasn't like the matches had started. They always start (unless delays) at 8:04-8:05 and vivski's was in at 8:02.
Anyway just my view point, I'm aware others disagree, but I just think things are a bit too tight for a supposedly friendly tipping competition, but rules are rules in the end.

for example your 2nd round tips looked like they were copied from vivski's with a modification of 1 goal maximum in all the games but the same tips. Could be argued you blatantly copied that but tried to disguise it by slightly modifying it, so where do you draw the line :p. Anyway that's just myself being picky again to justify my view :).
Don't really know why I am when I'm leading anyway :).

yeah i'm not running this comp so whatever the case is i'm over it. I'm with cometer on the strictness of the rules but as long as it is consistent i guess. Anyway, i forgot one round and no doubt will forget more or miss this weekend because we still won't have the internet, so it would be some pretty awesome tipping to win anyway
I have no issue if people think it's harsh but I have to draw a line. The idea of this tipping comp is to get users active and checking out matches other than their own, so therefore they need to tip. If I allow this than what's to stop a user posting each week "I tip the same as [insert ladder leader]" ? Sure that's an extreme example, but if I allowed one person to do it I have to be fair/consistent and allow anyone else to do it.

Yeah I understand where you're coming from, but I'm just saying there are loop holes around the rules, like copying and changing 1 number if people really wanted to take it like that. The rules don't bother me so much if it's consistent across the season and so far it has been.
Only way to avoid these different views on rules is to have no rules and make everything legal but I'm not suggesting we do that :).
You're doing a good job at running the comp and putting up with people like myself talking about harshness of rules and what should and shouldn't be allowed.
