I thought the strikers were positioned fine, but maybe could've played Baveas a little further up the pitch to draw the defenders.

was a bit fortunate tbh. You played a lot better than I expected.

I think it could have gone either way. I was suprised to see the ball more in your half of the pitch when the stats came up. That game pretty much typified our whole campaign, we've lost 5 games in qualifying, we probably only deserved to lose 2 (The first Australia and Lietuva games). I expected better from Matthews, a rating of 65 in divine form and he still couldnt beat your reserve keeper.

Yeah, although I'd argue you probably deserved to lose the 2nd against Lietuva as well despite playing exceptionally well.

Next campaign I'd be a bit surprised if Ireland weren't able to qualify as you've certainly matched everyone in our group this season, just haven't had results go your way.

Nice win against Ireland

Thanks. We'll take it, but our first win against Ireland was better :).

Ok we're just about set for the Mexico match later this evening, going to be one massive challenge for us.

I seriously doubt they'll play the same tactic as last week and the week before so I'm not planning on attacking that and then finding I get caught out when they change tactics.

I'm expecting them to play a much different style game and at this stage it's hard to determine what they will play, but we'll see how what I've come up with plays out.
