On another note, the tactic for the match against Colombia has been set, they've got a new manager this season so that makes things a little tougher to gauge. Hopefully though the tactic I've prepared allows us to get off to a cracking start to the world cup qualifications, otherwise, it's going to be a rather long and uphill battle from here on.

Hope everyone enjoys the game, and we're able to take the points :).

I predict, that Andy will do the trick. ;]

Wow, good time for Pierce to get his 1st assist!

Excuse me for one moment, just letting off some much relieved pressure.

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!

Great way to start the new campaign :).

Richter put down two tricks of Andy! Two nice balls, once a post and the second time he couldn't controll the ball...:p

Good game anyway, a little bit unlucky...IMO Dreger would be able to make few problems for the defs, thanks to his technique. You've seen what Willis did - was unstoppable with this tech. Rest of strikers was able to do some problems only after a good through ball...

Great victory :)

Oh, Icci, as you are here...why Giobbe isn't capped yet?
He's having a game today, right? :-PP

musta had a heart attack when veart got sent off after a minute on the pitch :P

Was wondering at times there whether we were going to be hard done by, we clearly dominated I thought 16 shots to 5.

Very very happy. 1 down , 1 win :).

Thought for the most part all our players contributed. Wingers weren't as effective as had been planned due to them playing their defenders back but when our wingers got the chance we got a lot of balls into the box. Fortunately despite Veart's red card we were able to score due a brilliant pass from Pierce and Byers didn't miss :D.

I actually had the "heart attack" when Pierce passed through their defense to Byers who had a 1 on 1 lol as I thought here we go we're gonna miss this like the one we had earlier in the half.

Also the last 1 minute was a real pain with all those fouls giving them a last crack at the draw.

asd sorry for the OT with the Australian community :P

Giobbe will be soon called in U21 test ;)
And if you''ll get even Beltati i think that The Evil's will play in the future with both the Italian NT strikers :P

Well done. nice result.

Congratulations on a great result. :) A strong performance against a fairly equal opponent.

My jaw hit the floor when the Colombian team used all 3 subs at half-time. :S Yet Australia was the team to finish with 10. Go figure. :)

Yeah well, it's funny whenever I set conditionals for red cards for my defenders I always seem to pick up a red card. Fortunately it wasn't too costly, I don't think Pierce would have made the pass to Byers had Veart still been on, so things work out in the end.

Least Byers converted the one that counted, was so sickening to see him miss the one set up by Oliveira.

Was surprised with Baveas free kick which was a pearler, don't know where he pulled that from but it was greatly appreciated :).

Cold has been pretty bad lately I hear :p

I think he's trying to hint to me to say something about the fact he did some scouting of Colombia and advised me to defend centrally, which I followed and we also discussed certain features of the tactic I ended up with so I appreciate the time spent on that.

Better get that cough checked out though :p.
