Subject: National Team
Stathakis is beginning to come out of his form slump. Highest form he has had for 58 weeks. Interestingly since playing 2 games a week the form has risen. Obviously wants more game time. If the form keeps improving he'll be in contention for the NT I'd imagine.
That's good news, especially as the general tendency is somewhat different. Especially amongst the defenders, two main characters are going down in form, Midtsian and Luke Neill. On the other hand some midfielders and Barnes are in form.
Althouth I don't want to think what would happen if Barnes gets killed for a longer period of time.

Kohler injured again! I wonder if he'll ever get that 100th NT cap.

I had some bad feelings about this game yesterday, but it went fine.
Nice return by Agostino, decent [:P] debut by Elrich. Good game by Poutakidis, who played only in u21 competitions before...?
We're going to have Mrdja and Nesic available next week, so the defence looks ok.
Midfield did ok, but oh what a game by Sharpley! Really impressive, and to think that 10min before I went to sleep it was still Kearton sitting on the bench....:p
Schweiz needs a 15:0 agains al-jazair to get before us in the group standings, which is quite probable to happen.
Next two weeks will decide everything, how funny. :p
First we meet Schweiz, then we meet...Schweiz. A draw + win will give us qualification to WC [unless Schweiz beats Italy in last game]. Let's keep on dreaming, at least for the next week. Because if we lose even one game, then we're 99% out ;)

Poutakidis has played in U24/U25 matches before and quite possibly 2nd XI.
Nice win. Given our top defenders were mostly not selected I assume due to low form, those that came in to replace them went alright. Agostino as central def had me worried given his low secondaries but he defended well.
As you said the next two qualification rounds are make or break. Although Schweiz are not our next two opponents. We have a friendly in between :p.

It's easy for Sharpley to come in the second half all fresh when Drum did all the work in the first half to get the defense knackered... :)

As for defenders - Mrdja had a red card, Nesic lost the slight injury after the morning update, Kohler is out of form, Hunter is out of form. I hope that at least Midtsian and Morton will get up in form. :)
