Subject: National Team
I have a pretty devious scheme that should help us get back the points that we've lost today, so nothing's lost :p.
It's one of my worst NT results ever though, simply terrible.

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't as a result of substitution orders taking the conditional slots like earlier in the season.
We really lost it in simple areas. Our DM's were for the most part in no man's land. Too far forward to be effective defenders, too far back to be attacking options. I think added to that, the fact they played an AM and 2 very narrow down the centre strikers eliminated the use of the 2 DM's as all 3 Latvian players were in between our DM's.
Finally, I think Barnes for the most part was played far too close to halfway.
The first few goals were well executed and perhaps we had players trying to rush up and others were too slow to push up out of the line and allowed some easy crosses. Not a lot you can do there except try and prevent the cross in the first place.
I thought we were going to have our biggest defeat ever at one stage, especially once Hunter got sent off and Morton/Kohler were fouling regularly.
Not a nice result, but nothing we can't overcome.

Sorry mate, i told you before the game that after we scored 1 from 16 last week the stats should get balanced... and it did...

I think the fact that our players know i wont continue next season made them play (and especialy score...) better and we even scored 2 penalties, something that never happened for us..

Think you will play a 2nds match this season? I don't really have anyone who would come under that category, but I know in the past I found them interesting.
I would also say a match with only players from Div II and III, but I really don't think we have a strong enough Div II and III anymore

2nd team game is a good idea, will try to book one game like that. We've played B-team against India last season from what I remember :).

I hope for a win. The team is pretty strong, but definitely not 1st team. We'll use young GK, young DEFs, young MIDs in 2nd half and one young striker in 2nd half. :)
Poland will use some top level players, like Wincenty Bęben [mid with 2 713 750 $ value, or a divine-unearthly-divine striker, but there will also be quite weak players.

Haha great work Borkos. Although it will only lift our rank 1 position, it will help us jump this decent rating points difference to get closer to the top 32.
It was also good to see a few up coming youngsters in the team too, I get the feeling we will be seeing quite a lot of the Barnes/Huxley combination in the future

We've lost about 60pts against Latvija with a 1:7 result, now we should gain about 70-80pts with a 9:1 against Poland. If Denmark beat Bulgaria we might even end up at 33th place :).
Yeah, Huxley-Barnes will be quite a duo...well probably starting nearest WC Q. :)
Also you can expect to see Erdogan/Griffiths on the wing, as well as Mrdja, Dodd if he improves as expected.
Angus Lozanovski and O'Donoghue should be close to first team at Quals as well and even closer at the WC, if we manage to visit it of course :p

I think the idea to get the points was a clever one, the game itself wasn't really that demanding when we take a closer look at who played for Poland. :)
