Disagree there. We only had him covered well when the ball was already down that side. When the ball was coming from the opposite side we were well out of position. We would have done better with 4 defenders rather than 5.

Definitely. The mistake was costly but look these things happen (it's when it becomes regular that it becomes a problem). I also thought the defense played a bit too compressed which made their winger an easier target but maybe that was largely due to Puca not really being a defender and so allowed a lot by.

This game was a joke...22 scoring opportunities, most of them almost ideal...and only 1 goal, but about 4 or 5 crossbars :/.

NZ have always been a bit that way when we play them. Makes them difficult to beat but at least we got the 1 goal which gave us the win.

That's the worst thing, already 2nd game in which we make lots of shots and still get almost no goals from it...

Let's put it this way - you won't get better than Barnes at finishing and Papaluca at goalkeeping :p.
And lowest form in which Papaluca played was brilliant [today] - usually divine, Barnes had always at least magical form. And Barnes had hm...well I'd guess about 80-85 of those 106 shots.
