Subject: National Team

I beg to differ. I've got an incredible passer with solid pm in my team, and he's by far my best midfielder. The long balls and free kicks that sort of player gets forward are very valuable.

IMO, pm doesn't add much after good, at that point I prefer more passing on midfielders.

Nah, I don't want a normal midfielder, I want someone who can punt freekicks and corners in, as well as play on the wing and cross regularly.

Those kind of players are really effective.

Oh, and Gibbage, are you looking at that defender on the market?

Account balance: -119 880 £

So no. Annoyingly I'd be a lot less in debt if my stadium hadn't been 0.05 days from being completed last weekend.

Heh, bloody debt.

Oh and btw, the addition of a new league didn't do much to our sponsor money, any idea why that is the case?
2006-06-04 17:55:57
I don't think it does. I think all that happens is the lowest league gets something lower, having more leagues won't push up sponsor money of those higher up.

They are...that's why Veart is trained in technique. He needs now pace and passing only and he'll be a killing machine.

@Mr_gibbage
It does. I have pm from solid to incredible in my team, so I see it clearly. :)
2006-06-04 17:57:02
But anything lower than what the lowest division used to get is criminal. There's no way these teams will survive!
2006-06-04 17:58:41
That would probably mean the Polish 6th division gets something like 15k Aus$ which is ridiculous.

I've had the luxury of seeing both sides of the coin - pm in excess, and passing in excess.

As a rule of thumb though, the more forward = more pm. Further back = more passing. As I am quite a fan of sitting midfielders back slightly deep, I do prefer passing.

I don't think the differences are huge when you go to the lower levels. I could be wrong about what I said initially, or the change might happen in the off season if there is one.
2006-06-04 18:02:38
It's about 35k AU$ at the beginning I think.
2006-06-04 18:03:19
I prefer passing fast balls :]
2006-06-04 18:06:28
I like fast balls too, but they'd work when clearing out or moving a fast attack.

But playmaking means jack when the player has two strikers in front of him, and only one defender to beat, or on the wing with only the cross to make.

I don't want players who can start moves out anymore, I want players who can finish moves off, play the killer ball. Australia have lacked this for as far as I can remember.

High passers have a habit of catching teams off guard though, and can if you have good strikers, you can get a goal before the opponent can do anything about it.
2006-06-04 18:24:53
Hm...in my team only Ishida and Trzebicki give killer balls - they have incredible and outst. pm, and very good passing.
