Subject: National Team
Heh. Look at his transfer history, and be proud that you have a player who once played for the Mighty Tollygunge.
hehe, he played in your team, it is good because your now you are the national coach :D
We were missing our best defender, and Garland is not collecting any brownie points from me at all the way he's playing.
His technique looks to be so poor that I'm starting to wonder if his manager's lying to me. I'll trust him for the time being, though.

Will be good when Howarth gets more NT level in the next season or two. There isn't a single defender in the Australian squad from what I've seen even that near to the U20s England can put out :(.
Well Pilic is getting there.
Waiting for Howarth :)

Wow, nice accussing me of lying.
I can assure you I am not, but you can drop him. If I had the opportunity I would remove him from the NT team while you were the coach.

he wasnt accusing you of lying. I think some people take things too literally on words. He was merely suggesting his opinion that he is surprised given the information from you, that he doesnt seem to perform to that standard. Thats not accusing anything yet, he just stated it larger then the basics probably because he was trying to emphasize the fact our defenders didnt do too well against England. At least thats how i took it.

That is an accusation of lying.

without arguing too much more the words "starting to wonder" and "if" is not an accusation. If it had been his manager is lying to me then it would have been an accusation. He hasnt said you had lying although he is uncertain.
Meh, I read it more as just joking, banter between two opposing managers, but then again i tend to avoid taking anything written on an internet game forum seriously. Besides, he said he trusts your information...
Sriram - perhaps you were forgetting your smileys? ;)

No, starting to wonder means that he thinks that I am lying. Putting it on the forum, is telling everyone that he thinks I am lying.
There were no smileys, and there wasn't meant to be.
It really comes down to whether I care or not. I don't care about wether Garland is in the team or not, I do care when the manager accuses me of lying.

Not really, Dave and wacky got it spot on as to what I was thinking, and what I meant by what I said.
And yes, I did say I'll trust you on this one.
The only problem I have is Garland looks to be performing at a lower standard than others in the team at the same level. For example, Pilic and Garland have the same technique level, but Garland fumbles a lot more balls than Pilic does. A lot of players dribble through Garland, even though his defence level is up there with the rest of the squad. And form is not an issue because young Jamie is always in good form, and I commend you for that.
I know I have explained myself, but perhaps my words were a bit too strong, to be honest. I'm sorry mate.

Form can make a fair difference for that sort of thing.
