Subject: S14 - The Australia Cup

Have not watched the whole game but seems like I blew to many chances. Wathced both Jestr... and Moska fail to convert some big ones at 1-1.

Chelsea got two players back just in the for the game and nothing I could do about that. Happy to go as far as this, but most certainly had hoped I had been able to take it one round more.

The players back in were still rather injured so I wasn't expecting much out of them and certainly wasn't expecting the win. I did well to absorb a lot of pressure and ward off the attacking opportunities, and as usual I didn't win possession and was well outshot [cue: the boo boys to comment on my 'luck' :P ]

Either way. I'll take it.

I'm with you there mate, those last two goals were very soft, and really didn't deserve to be goals, as opposed to others shots that were saved, that probably deserved to be goals.

Naphtali: what do you say to have a friendly next week with cup-rules so we can have an unoffical bronze game?

I'm there! Sounds like a great idea for something that could become an annual event.

That said, I'll probably be fielding my trainees rather than A-siders.

this should be a good match to see between you blokes...even if it consists of trainees

BTW Naph, I liked what you tried to do this week against my tactic, even if I had planned on changing the tactic for you, I just never got around to it.

I think if executed correctly it may work (if it doesn't open up too much of the middle of the field) but it also helped test my players with that tactic against a quality side

Do not expect any big guns from my side either :)

Will just be a fun event! Since I've had home games so far in the cup and you hae only played away I suggest we have it at your ground.

Yeah, I'm still experimenting with the 2 sliding across the front of my back 3. I also need to work some more on the positioning of my wings who were caught too wide, and in no-mans land (not far back enough to defend, not forward enough to make telling passes) too often. I think its got potential, but I'm yet to get any decent shots out of Link from that formation. If I can work that out it will be very, very sweet.

TerjeH: sounds good, be nice to give the home fans something else to rock along too.

Fishes win it 3-0 in extra time as they simply ran all over us in the extra period.

Haven't seen the game yet but looking forward to it. Best of all no players got injured.
