I'll keep my eyes on this young striker, i got him into squad to don't miss his updates.
He is not ready to play yet, but maybe at the end of season i will try him, when we will play totally U20 matches.

The sokkeroos U21 is ready for first friendly vs. Wales U21 this friday.
The team was posted, as usual, at The sokkeroos forum.
With hopes and responsability, i go again with aussi youngs on the way to recover some rankings and to be ready for a new WCQ and (why not ?) even WC challenge.

We losed this first match, sorry.Our youngs was surprised by opponent very high defline, we had a lot of off sides but, mainly in second half a lot of great opportunities to: 2 shots in post by Bellingham, shot in keeper by Jones and last occasion, a shot above by Finn with GK out of post.
We was better(more posession), but without real striker movements it's difficult to score.And without valued GK is very difficult to keep good results:(
I think to, previous coach modified some of my tactics, so i need to make them again all.
I likes some of our youngs, some need more trainings to be better, i hope, next matches we could clarify a good eleven to don't lose to much matches.

Was a narrow match and Wales was on lucky side (not so often here ...) ... next time other direction ...

Yes, i need some time.I'll try more players to see, who play at international level and who not, i hope to find soon a good formation here, who can make better results for us.
Every season is difficult at the beginning for us, but after couple of weeks we go better.Aussi youngs have great talents, will increase from a week to another...everytime i had squad problems at the beginning, but i resolved on time.

South Africa played with total U20, but we also had 7 younger players...and i don't know, why the litle Brooks doesnt played, when he was on my substitution list?!
I noted for me new players, that i liked today.Next week we will be the outsider team, playing against a very strong Croatia, i don't know how they does'nt qualified to WC...

PS:And i wanna invite new aussi club managers to join The Sokkeroos Association, the only place were our U21 prepare their matches, were you can be apart of our common work, to get higher the young team in the future.
I waiting there any suggestions, absolutelly anything that could help me to help your country and future talents that we have.I promise, any new registrations by aussie users there will be accepted, because the U21 is'nt just my team, i wanna work together for it with all users that really care about.

We losed today with Macedonia.Unfortunatelly our opponent makes us major problems, injuring our best striker(Lopez) and a valued young center defender(Gilmore), making us much weaker even from first half of match.We remained without a striker that could score :(
If against Russia they played with just 3 U21 players, with us they used 7 even from first half.
Finally deserved victory for Macedonia, because they had more oportunities and just our fantastic O'Connor makes us leaving with only one goal achieved.
Now, before next match i have more throuble: i see, what could make with a serious injured squad...fortunatelly we go to play with Senegal and then we could be anyway favs.

You got to have patience with he lads. Unfortunately, you do not have the desired line of players, but still, you can grow them and try profit from that in the future, of course, with the help of their managers!
