Good win. Surprised Colombia didn’t change tactic for the last 30 given they were behind and not really getting any momentum. I think you could have exploited their central defense a bit more but overall well controlled.

You seemed to draw perhaps the best team we could have hoped for again next week as well. Tough ask still but feel like Serbia is better than any of the other options.

Avoided the rank 4,5 and 6 and drew the 22. Lowest rank left in the tournament.

We’re also only 1 place from a first seed for next seasons qualifiers. That’s insane.

The dream of getting WC medal is still on :)
Rating wise, best possible draw for Australia. Now, lets hope for best players to avoid injuries and have best possible form for this match :)

I still dont want to discuss too much tactic publically, but im trying to remember everything for afterwards.

Whatever happens now you’ve equalled our best ever finish at a World Cup so that should take some of the pressure away. Still a good opportunity to get to the next round. Trying to work out if you’ve lost a game that wasn’t a friendly yet :p

The pressure is not gone, its My 4th big quarterfinal, 2 cc 1 danish wc quarter... I really want a big medal... I will think of the match already in My sleep now . When I woke up i went straight to the phone to read draws

And these results are always more satisfying when you are doing it with teams that have limitations due to size of the nation.
Winning as the favourite/one of the favourites is pretty meh, winning with teams that shouldn't even be close, that's fun and worthy of a congratulations.

If we speak for U21 for smaller communities, the only way how to success in WC is to know training for all players and make plans how to develop players from 18yo to 21yo. Just for example, only 8 of 29 players for this WC are not among Serbian clubs, and for talents and future stars, we make plans together who is going to buy and train which player...

and serbia has 72 users..... but that makes it also easier to find a coach for best players on list

I think to be honest, i need to make a miracle.... but if ever to win such a big quarterfinal, the timing is as good as in the CC ones, and much better then the danish one..... i feel we are strong.... just such a shame some mids are suffering from form disease

Still a better draw than the other 3 options. Look at the positives and the game will take care of itself. There is nothing left to prove. Just try and see if you can progress one round further. If you do amazing, if you don’t we’ve had a good run.

Yes of course :) i just show some respect to our opponent and say we should not feel as confident as people Are betting us :) in the thread roughly people bet 50% us, 20% draw, 30% them... so internationally achmid and me made us respected, even beyond as strong an opponent as serbia :D Im looking highly forward to the match, and feel we have like a 30/25/45 scenario, which is much higher then we would vs rest
