Yes of course :) i just show some respect to our opponent and say we should not feel as confident as people Are betting us :) in the thread roughly people bet 50% us, 20% draw, 30% them... so internationally achmid and me made us respected, even beyond as strong an opponent as serbia :D Im looking highly forward to the match, and feel we have like a 30/25/45 scenario, which is much higher then we would vs rest

The quarterfinal is big but the opposition is definitely beatable.
You have succeeded no matter what the result is, and next qualification is bound to be much harder than we have had this run (we have had some amazing luck with the draws for opposition).

Whilst my tipping to get points has been against you (you'll note in the Sokker International tipping comp, I believe Australia will win), I believe you have all the tools and knowledge to win this game.

Socceroos have a good record against Serbia at the world cup. Go for it!

Unfortunately that tactic sunk us today, it was pretty much 10 v 10 with two of our players occupying basically the same space.
We were also playing against a 3-man defence, and that was before they copped a red card, so played against a 2-man defence and still couldn't win.

I think both teams tactics were pretty horrible, especially for the level of match we were playing, so really neither deserved to win

Congrats on getting to this point in the world cup, but I think if you played even a normalish tactic, you would have found yourself in the semi final.

Yes tornado strikers didnt really help us.... also analyzing that the 2 matches he lost at the WC was with high def, and the 2 matches he won was with low def, he still choose high def and it caught highly off guard

We hit the post 2 times though, and if those 15 offsides didnt ruin so many, many of our attempts, we should have won with several goals..... his tactic was really poor, enhanced by red card with no red card order............... but the tornado strikers, that we deemed could lock up his def, was more in the way of each other.... also another thing we really lost many chances on, was our strikers in good position kept trying to pass rather then seek the chance

You lost it because of the setup. Super high strikers and super deep defenders. You gave them the midfield and we didn’t have a midfield to use.

5 deep defenders who don’t have the skills to pass to the strikers on a long pitch and then a front 3 that at times was a front 4 due to the press. We didn’t have a chance.

Only reason we even had a chance was they played a back 3 which turned into a back 2 early. You should have destroyed that.

If you play deep defenders you need to have deep midfielders and deep strikers fo allow for passes between them or else plan for some way to move the ball forward.

Felt almost like you tried too hard and out thought yourself. Could be wrong but I had wondered given you’d been making such a deal about never getting past this point with other teams and then the whole discussion about Serbia as if they were a super strong side I don’t know but did you perhaps psych yourself out?

Then a bit disappointed you didn’t have tactics to swap too which was a more aggressive one for if we were behind. Just stick with the same.

Ok they got a cheap goal off a gk fumble and we missed a few one on ones which involved a few posts so we perhaps should still have got away with one.

I thought the tactic was sloppy. Like you were worried about their strikers so dropped the defense back but then didn’t adjust the rest and just exposed our defenders in the process. A better side eats that more than Serbia did.

I said before regardless you had nothing to prove and you’d done well to even get to this point and I maintain that. This was the first match that I’ve watched where I felt it just wasn’t at your usual high standards. Been a good run though so let’s move on from this and get back to what you have been doing well in your tenure.

The def line was the same as vs slovensko and colombia in 1/8, it was rather high. It was there mid pressing it low... high strikers was as I said because serbia only won 2 matches at wc, both with low def, lost 2 matches with high def. .. I rarely play 2 tactics. I feel the 5-2-3 was so super offensive that we couldnt go more offensive. We could go could more defensive if in front, which we never was..

Our 2 midfielders played well... what we lost the match can be cut down to 3 things. Tornado strikers not working as intended, number of offsides due to thinking hell stick with what he had success with and our strikers kept passing or getting tackled when not offside

The passing was because the other strikers were ahead of the ball carrier and the strikers were wide. The offside count hurt more when they went to 2 as less likely one would drop back out of place, however it did mean you had your striker placements wrong.

I feel like the 2 mids you used centrally were trying to do too much and as a result were in no man’s land for large chunks of the game. Too high upfield to help support the defense and also too far upfield to receive the ball from the defense at the same time. They’d also have tired quicker due to distance covered.

How can you call that def low?

The only time the def was high is when we had the ball in our front third.

The gap between the defs and mids was too big given where Serbia placed their midfield. Mids closer to the defs can then run with the ball allowing time for strikers to get back onside and have their mids turning.

I didn’t watch slovensko match we drew so possibly missed picking it up there.
