Subject: National Team U21

We drew Kazakhstan.

They had only 4 points in the group, with 3 of them from walkover. Seems easy. But then i studied them. They have a pure world class striker who had his first 60 rating match already 5 months ago in his early 20 yo season, he is in form, 12k eu wage, played 46 u21 matches, made 21 goals. If he has one of those days where everything succeeds we might need 2+ goals ourselves, so he must be taken care of.

Erkebulan Voinov, link to striker mentioned

Also they have a 90 rating goalkeeper, most likely divine and even bit of pace, also in form.

So it will not just be pure walk in park. As total their team is much weaker then ours though, fielding start 50~ish rating. So we play on with that strength in mind.

And to top the draw that made this Asian cup interesting suddenly. If we win this quarter vs Kazakhstan, we face the winner of Vietnam, team with highest rating in tourney (57) or Iran, who already made miracle to get this far (rating 43).

Impressive performance by our boys. 4-0 result with 18-2 in shots, couldnt have been done much better. We played on gulzzys field, because its a long but narrow field, which suits our team. The tactic we played is a familiar one, and the more i see it work, the more sad i become that i did so many experiments in the final phase of the WC. But hope to avenge on that matter over time.

It was a hattrick by Waite and a single goal by Maclaren, and it especially Mr hattrick who did everything he wanted to. In defence both their shots was huge chances to their top striker, which we learned in advance to the match is 16-12-14. So that we could keep him off from scoring is beautiful <3

Next up Vietnam in the semis

Okay, so after given it some consideration i came to the conclusion that hiring an assistant was wrong, boyd was perfect for the job, and he keeps asking if i want to see more pictures of him on WhatsApp... but jokes aside, i feel like i lost some of the connection with the community, after he took over the part of talking with some managers about player training...

So after talking with him earlier today, we agreed i head on from here solo, and ask for his advice on tactical matters only if im in doubt... Also he will run for Denmark senior NT next season, so the time is fitting, and we will be able to spare with each other if needed, but only in the background...

Next week will be the big update on the rooster thread, and after that i will send mails out on training on u21 players and prospects

Thanks boyd for helping out this season. Been good having you in the U21 crew. Good luck with the Danes next season.

Looking forward to the rooster updates, adaca. Glad you're full hands on again. But also look after yourself. :)

Nice work advancing to the final of the Asian Cup.

You probably beat the most difficult team (besides us) today.

India or Israel to come in the final. Good luck

Strangely enough India beaten Israel 2-0. Hope Australia will have better result against India than in group stage in what would be finale worth match :)

Well it start out with lightning and thunder todays match against Vietnam, we had 2 very big double chances in the opening minutes, but had to score a lucky goal with help from the keeper... Vietnam scored a really nice def rating, and it was the players were good... But we also made a change in recommendations to training, in future after pace is fine on strikers, i recommend tech Instead of striking... The old plan was based on the pace alone could create chances, but especially when we play without wing tech is more important then striking i started to feel. Because we really rare stand being tackled at the moment.

Time to look forward to the final where we are big favorites, but everything must be prepared well still

Think it’s too late now for wcq for next season. Have a feeling ranking is taken from this week?

In any case amazing we’re so close. Shame our CC so it doesn’t go off u21 rankings :p

Hello, it's true that you scored a goal after a mistake by the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the day before our match, my main goalkeeper was injured, and a defender was also injured, but I accept this result. You were a strong team, you made it out of the group stage at the World Cup and were only eliminated in the second round. We didn't even go to the World Cup. This is my first season in Vietnam, and there is progress. Congratulations on your victory, and I wish everyone good luck.
