Subject: National Team U21

Thanks for your time adaca. It's a shame tactics/results took such a downhill slide these past two seasons, but I do appreciate all the effort you put into communication, maintaining statistics, quick responses with ranking of players and overall being a part of our community.
I wish you the best of luck coaching your home nation and hope you can bring the kick up the bum that community requires for their NT.
Don't be a stranger around the forums, and feel free to keep training Aussies :D

....And congrats on bringing the Asian cup back home

Congratulations to Adaca. He did a fantastic job during his tenure. The Australian U21 national team manager should have a role in developing young Australian players, given that Australia is a small community.

I would also be a candidate to manage the Australian U21 national team in the future.

Right now, I've built a squad capable of winning the Turkish Super League championship. I'll return to a younger team in 5-6 seasons.

Congrats Adaca on the trophy right at the end. :)
Best of luck going forward.

A little worried that even in the dying stages of the election, and a couple of days down the track, Buczek didn't get back to answer my questions

Looks like we won't be getting much from the current coach. Veni, vidi, vici and ¡hasta nunca! :(

Hello, earlier I actually managed the U21 team for 3 seasons with poor results, I think that after that time I am a bit stronger tactically - at least I try :) I will not promise anything because, following the results of other coaches, I sometimes notice the so-called engine power

Do we think Iain is a MID or ATT?

At last update he was #1 MID and #2 ATT. Based on that, you'd think MID, but I'd like to know the squad composition before committing him one way or the other. I can't give him pace at the moment.

Just popped pace and tech.

Iain O'Donoghue, age: 18, height: 180 cm
value: 150 800 AU$, wage: 1 680 AU$
club: Cool Runnings, country: Australia
form [12] outstanding, tactical discipline [8] solid

stamina [5] average, keeper [0] tragic
pace [9] very good, defender [2] unsatisfactory
technique [8] solid, playmaker [6] adequate
passing [5] average, striker [6] adequate

We've had some epic youth strikers recently and he's not at that level, which is pushing me towards MID. On the flipside, I don't see the point in training wingers when we rarely play wing tactics in U21 games that matter.

MID or ATT?

i think it will depend on talent, if talent is great he can be mid... but SS is definetly better for ATT
2026-04-09 17:44:25
I think the same
2026-04-09 19:57:32
I think talent is there.
What do you mean SS?

Sumskill, he has better sumskills to be att than mid, but if talent is good he can be better mid in long term

Is Caravelle our best U19 goalkeeper? Anyone have one better?

George Caravella, age: 19, height: 174 cm
value: 444 800 AU$, wage: 3 800 AU$

stamina [2] unsatisfactory, keeper [10] excellent
pace [10] excellent, defender [1] hopeless
technique [0] tragic, playmaker [2] unsatisfactory
passing [7] good, striker [2] unsatisfactory
