As some of you have already noticed, Minkee and I have decided to run for the job of U21 NT coach. Here's a little information about what we hope to achieve and how.
Please take a moment to vote for vivski before May 10.
Who
Head Coach: vivski
Head Coach: Minkee
Advisers: .cometer, Tigermaster, Achmid
My team (Team Moose Power) has just promoted to the A-League from II.03, one of the most competitive leagues in Australia. I've done this predominantly through exploiting the match engine (ME), making solid tactics to overcome stronger teams.
Minkee is well known as one of the most active users in Australia. His passion for the game and organisation skills have led to the very successful State Cup competition. Sokker has recently recognised his contribution and given him mod powers. Also, his team (Da Minkees) is climbing the ranks very quickly.
The achievements of cometer, Tigermaster and Achmid are well known. With their experience as advisers, we are in good hands.
Goals
It's quite simple really. This season is all about qualification for the U21 World Cup. Tigermaster has done a stellar job in getting us this far. We have a nice draw but a lot of work to do to take advantage of it.
The primary target is to qualify and the secondary target is to finish the season with a strong U20 team ready to take on the next challenge.
How
Tactics - The U21 team is of a skill level similar to what we have in div 2 in Australia. They are skills we're familiar with making tactics to suit. We will study our opponents and exploit their weaknesses, but always matching the tactics to the squad we have available.
Collaboration - We have set up a forum for the coaching team to share ideas. It already has 94 posts in 8 threads... spammers ahoy!
But it's not just us. We expect to hear advice and feedback from you as well. The U21 NT thread will be spam central during the WCQ campaign! Everyone's opinion is welcome.
Time - We spend way too much time on this site. We intend to put that time to good use for the sake of the U21 NT. That means researching teams to devise good tactics. And keeping track of our U20 list for the following season.
Questions
If you have any questions, please ask. There is a lot I haven't covered in an attempt to keep it brief. However, both myself and Minkee are more than happy to discuss any issue relating to the U21 NT or Sokker in general.
Please take a moment to vote for vivski before May 10.

To open it up to all users on the Aussie forum, so it's not a wink-and-nod campaign.
And to show that we're taking it seriously.

Malta U21 NT has an election turnout of over 20% so far... surely we can do better than 12 votes... ;)
I'm exercising my democratic right not to vote ;)
I just got here, and don't know who to choose ?

The only thing I can say for sure is that I would vote for an Ozzy.
I just did.
He's the only Aussie contender I just noticed.
I am the 13th vote :)

Cheers mate. :)
Do you know about the National Teams (NT) here in sokker? Last season was the first season for U21 NTs. This season is the qualifying for the U21 World Cup. If all goes to plan, next season will be our first U21 World Cup Finals campaign.
We play Ukraine in the first game in our group next Friday. The NT is good, 'cos anyone can watch the games and you can learn quite a lot from the tactics.
You can follow all the WCQ action in the U21 NT thread.

I've got heaps to learn about the tactics in Sokker.
I am not training any juniors yet, and I have no descent U21 talent to offer the side. Only a couple of under 21's, but nothing worth bragging about.

No worries. You'll find that most of the U21 NT players are from teams who have run quality youth schools for a long time. If you keep an eye on the youth players thread, you may find a good young player to pick up and train into a future NT star.
If you want some help setting up your training programme or youth school, set up a post in the Australian Newbie forum.
