An expected loss against a tactic I’ve never seen before… very curious, but if you’ve got the firepower in your squad it’s super effective.
Yes I’ve seen the 5.2.3 many times, but it’s the first time I’ve seen it all up the left side of the field. Either way, outclassed.
Hard team to draw straight up, but still good we had 2 teams in there this season.
I was up against a bot, so managed to get all trainees trained including a midfielder playing GK.
Next round will see me in the bottom half of the draw so could be a round 2 exit

Tough ask with the draw you got. Not impossible mind you but still a tough match ahead.
Well player material is good opponent considering achmid isnt seeded in this round.. so close to equal terms there, but its a match up between two experienced coaches, i think best tactic will win
Well despite an even shot count, that was a BS result.
I had more good position, one on one shots, including a PK, and was able to find holes both through the middle and around their defence, but the game just wouldn't let my strikers score.
Our GKs are similar form (Munn is 1 better) but my GK is over 100k wage, whilst theirs doesn't even hit 70k
Their strikers are 41k wage in weak (4) form and 73k wage in Outstanding (12) form

My strikers 47k wage in magical (15) form and 68k in Superdivine (18) form - yes this was the guy who had most of the shots including the PK
Unfortunately the wrong team won tonight, and whilst going into the game I thought it would be tough, my team was clearly the better on the pitch, tactic played better, had more high quality shots and with players that were better and in better form. Absolute BS

I’ll take your word for it since I can’t watch it. 1-0 is within the realm of plausibility though so I don’t think it’s necessarily complete BS. Wasn’t like it was 3-0 or something. Unlucky perhaps is a better word to describe it.

It's that time of year again, and potentially the last Champions Cup as we know it, and for the first time (or at least for the first in a very long time), we have TWO teams in the competition
The matchups are as follows
Lagends FC (India) - Achmids Soul
The Comets - Nova (Sverige)
Both should be quite good matches.
Lagends manager Hoodibaba has long been India's strongest manager who, like myself, prioritises NT training over making money. He has always been a major part of the Indian forum, and we have had a number of conversations in the past on the forum. He is well respected and pulls around a 65 marks against other low 60s ratings (meaning with a more even contest, he may get a little higher). This is a nice even matchup, and I'm sure of the opponents he could have had, he would be pretty happy coming up against myself. Whilst I could have got easier competition, I'm also not disappointed as it will be a fun match.
He is well led by a couple of defensive beasts in Vineeta and Kenchammana, who are well backed up by MID Sailendra, with 313 NT games between them.
Whilst his GK is not as strong, in mid form and often plays a supportive role in the NT, it is still leagues ahead of Munn at this stage, who has finally hit rock bottom in form, just as he closes in on that elusive 3x SD (had a slight hiccup when his pace dropped from SD, and needed bumping back up)
Like Lagends, Nova manager Johannes, has dominated Sweden for quite a number of seasons. I will let cometer do the research if he wants, but strength wise, he sits around the 75 mark at his best. It will be a tough game for the comets, as this is a little higher than even agbell or myself at our best, but I wouldn't put it past him to get an upset victory either.

13 shots to 11. 50% possession, 53% pith. Gave up an 8pt avg rating. You look at that and you go looks a pretty decent effort. Final score 0 - 5.
Beaten by a striker and rng. Of those 11 shots almost every single goal they got came from dribbling straight through my defenders from the front. Had they not done that the shot count would have been like 13-2 maybe 13-3 and we're talking a completely different game.
Nothing in that game that suggested a 5-0 result was the right one but better get all the rubbish out from last season early.

16 shots to 7 in my favour, many of which were 1v1, and I lost 1-3.
Can confidently say, the better team did not win today and the ME had decided that match well before the first whistle was blown.
