2-0 was a bit close for comfort for me at this stage of the cup!

Cool Runnings did well to restrict the barrage. Will be following the Australian Cup now that it has reached the quarters.

Who will use 1sts, who will use 2nds, and who doesn't even know they are in the cup quarters?
At least, you guys have 3-4 exciting rounds to look forward to in the Cup.

That is true. It's why I every so often make sure to bring up the merging of leagues so that everyone gets that. But of course the big countries don't like it because they like having an advantage over the small ones

Because they need it so!!

Good luck to everyone in today's matches.

I think it should be pretty straight forward with Chelsea, Tribe, Ukes and myself going through, but I'm sure Stamford will be fighting hard to overcome Tribe for what should be the most hotly contested match of the week

No matter what the matchups are next week, they are going to be a couple of cracker matches.

Top 4 in the A-League fighting it out to make it to the final.

Ukes and Achmids have proven although not common, they can take points off Chelsea, whereas Tribe may have the 2nd best team in Australia at present. It will definitely be the most exciting cup we have had for a while.

It's a good sign to see the improvement of not just a great final, but great semis too. Next step is a great set of Quarters, which is becoming closer and closer by the season, with Stamford being able to take points off Achmid's Soul and Tribe, Melbourne Mongrels with an active manager, just need him back in A-League, The Comets who are growing steadily, cisco who comes and goes, but is getting more and more advice as time goes on and Cool Runnings also growing.

Exciting times in Sokker Australia, and there could be more names to add to that list if they decide to stick around

Yeah my league is now 3 active teams so hope the others stick it out.
Do they know about expanded league system & when it’s likely?
That could be the clincher, as top flight could be more realistic a little sooner for them.

I stuffed my training and got super lucky.

Headed out on holiday, thought I'd set my lineup. Didn't. So ran my seconds in league and in cup.

*facepalm*

Lol, I did notice this. Wasn't sure if it was intentional or not.

This is an exciting couple of matches. Pretty much any team would be a deserving finalist

Holiday? What's a holiday?!?

WA - we even wait awhile to get COVID.

Looks like the top 3 teams from the previous cup are in the semi finals (Chelsea FC, Achmids Soul and Ukmerges Vienybe). Tribe has done really well in qualifying for the semis after being out in the pre-quarters in the previous Cup. Tribe replaces PAOK from the last Cup in the semis.

He actually has the potential to be the number 1 Australian side (and could have been if he wanted for the past 10-15 seasons) with his bank balance, but until we all started coming back, he had taken a massive back foot step, quitting without actually quitting.

Over the history of Australian Sokker, he is one of the hardest teams to beat, and strongest we have had, so really, we are all at his mercy for if and when he decides to return properly.

Already he has made enough buys that he is probably #2 in the country, and only time will tell whether he decides to become #1 or not
