the drop should be rather low... its true that 28 yo can drop in pace (as only skill), but will 9 out of 10 times only be like 0,05-0,1 .... so dont train it, he will still perform at very high pace level

Yup pace can start dropping from age 28. Usually my 28s aren't getting advanced training, but I pop them in the position that is training pace and they usually pop back up eventually (or I lose a trainee and then I give them an advanced training slot)

It's annoying from a selling point or if the NT coach doesn't realise, forgets or thinks they may be dropping quicker than they are, but they are just as effective on the field

Yeah, you can see it on the value more how big a drop it was, but usually not that big

The other thing is it’s also more noticeable dropping from SD to divine. SD only has a single value 17.99. Divine is [17-17.99). So a drop from 17.99 to 17.90 for example will appear like a full level, but 17.90 to 17.81 will show as the same level.

Yes, thats also why its mostly only drops from 18 to 17 in pace that happens at that young an age, and why it dont make sense to train it up again

Important to remember:

Players play according to exact level (including sublevel i mean)

Drops dont happen each week, but has a rng chance to happen, first its decided if dropping and then by how much... The older the player, the chance of both if happens and how big a drop it is will is bigger

pace sucks oscar, anyways we know that Carr is high level 17... so 17.95 or 17.99 should be the same....
so dont worry about that and keep focusing in that tech level if he is near, maybe in mid-end season we can look for the 18 pace again...

It's okay, I can live with it. It's just annoying that he's dropped despite still getting general training for pace. I'm loathed to train him in pace at this age. Pace is so agonisingly slow to train after 24yo and my other trainees are not wanting pace right now.

Hopefully you're right and he'll bounce back up on his own.

Thats why it Important to get them as close to reaching max level at 27. Hope both my Aussie trainees will be able to do that :)

Lots of chat this week I see, so I may as well state how today went.

Munn continued his downward spiral of form...just as he is about to hit 3x SD. Was hoping it would occur today, but looks like it's one more week of training (and sacrificing another player to do so).

A nice double pop for Mr. Brodie of the U21s will keep adaca happy, whilst another young, probably defender, got a random PM pop which was unexpected.

Whilst future midfielder Lane is finally starting to round out a bit with his PM after coming out of the youth school with the PM of a jellyfish, and being a good 6 levels behind the next lowest mid skill before I ever first started training it

Munn form is really sad... best gk in the game probably and can´t be used :(

On my side nothing interesting will happen by the end of this season. Ishida will get one pop in Def and maybe some sideskill pop, but I highly doubt in that. Papaluca should soon pop in tech, but with his form he is basically useless for u21 :(

Next season I plan to train them both in MID skills, after that Ishida should be getting close to being useful in NT :) (not taking form into equation)

Yeah, we really struggle with mid form on u21. And now Maclaren injured for the return match vs crna gora

Really unlucky for McLaren. Hope he loses just this week's training. Fingers crossed.
On the other side, we finally have 3xdiv striker in the NT. Shipley has done it!
