Subject: [U21] Defenders
What people have said before is true but also, Galan is #6 def for his age so it's a hard position.
I think 13/13 (or 12/14, 14/12) is where a lot of Aus U21 NT players end their U21 year, so better than that, and they are in with a good shot at future honours, high talent and secondaries but at that level, then they will likely play too, anything less unless great secondaries, probably won't make it to seniors.
It has been good to see a general level of player, it means we are gaining depth for the senior NT
Saying that, 20yo Ponting is better than that and still has a season and a bit to train, but he is an exception to the rule

Maybe next time I'll ask you to list him even later. Midnight SK time clearly wasn't late enough. :D
I found the original forum post. Goes to show how far talent and good training can take a young player.

It took him 3 weeks for just his first pop in pace, if it isnt followed up by 2 to 6 im crying... although chance of second pop faster then the one before is really low.... i think the very best he can become is a def

3wk pace pop seems pretty normal to me, even at low levels. Could go either way from here.
Not at start of 17 yo..... im not saying he cant be something, but a big mid star he wont be
But yes... if he just doesnt go up to 4 weeks before the pop to excellent its okay decent.... I just hoped for more because he had nice potential
Some of my most talented players have had 3wk pops as 17yo, so all is not lost... yet. Fingers crossed.
Yeah it will take me a lot to give up on him, he is still very young, and the least he should be able to even with 4,5-5 talent is a useful u21 def

Looking at selling this guy.
Thought i'd give him a chance and his actual talent seems to be better than his youth school talent prediction
Youth school talent was estimated to be 5.32
Talent 4.38 (4.09-4.68) according to Sokker Assistente now that he has had a bunch of trainings and a few pops
Jackson Karas, age: 18
club: Ginger Nuts, country: Australia
value : 148 000 AU$
wage: 1 920 AU$
weak [4] form
very good [9] tactical discipline
height: 180 cm, weight: 67.3 kg, BMI: 20.77
poor [3] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
very good [9] pace excellent [10] defender
weak [4] technique unsatisfactory [2] playmaker
unsatisfactory [2] passing weak [4] striker
Has +1 in Pace. Has popped 3x in pace already
Has not yet popped in defender since being in my team (10 general training sessions, no advanced ones)
I think he should be a pretty decent trainee, only selling due to the 16yo I pulled this week who I will take a chance one.
If anyone is keen let me know and I can list at an Aus friendly time

When would you like listed?
I think his lack of secondaries may keep his price pretty reasonable

You Are right.. he shouldnt go that high, but for the u21 team he will be vital.
4th best u18 def if you weight sideskills as half primaries, split 1st with one other if you count only pace+def...
His pace and def is so high there will be time for secondaries training and he could be useful in A-league, but probably not senior nt

Just lost a trainee to injury, so will keep Karas for 1-2 more weeks as I'll have a spare training spot then look at selling again
Karas will be back up for sale. Popped in defender, and now 1-2 trainings from popping in pace (currently +2 advanced trainings)
