I just googled....... it really should be possible for you guys to sell at 11-12 sk time instead of 7-9, it would mean a lot for the price i think....

11-12 is gettable but again it’s still not really the best time to sell. Really need to be 18-19. That being said I don’t think 11-12 would have made much difference. Think it’s just a shift in where the transfer market is given the time of season. That’s likely the bigger issue.

Need to make room, and this guy is probably going to be the one to disappear.

That's a shame. At least you were able to get an upgrade for an equally low amount.

I think people may be training more of their own youths these days (although its been a number of seasons since the new training), so wonder whether people are either looking for the top of the fop (trainees), finished players, or just very young to train to the future.

It’s also when in the season people are looking too. Might be a fraction early for looking at 21yos

TM definitely not what it once was with depth at top end. Harder to buy a finished 26-28yo without paying more than I can afford these days.
The one thing that hasn’t changed is getting flicked aside by div4/5 teams from certain countries in bidding wars.

Unfortunately playing for results doesn’t bring the profit level as tanking and playing corner tactics and just selling trainees every few seasons. The smarter me sells renaud and scuderi much earlier than I will end up doing but I’m also here for fun and trying to win titles too so I’ll take a hit on what I could have got as a result.

There's a big difference between the bid frenzy that happens for the most talented players and everyone else.

A 21yo defender with 13/14 skills, low secondaries and unknown talent didn't reach the threshold.

I also don't think people are looking for 21yo players. As you say, people are training their own players and there aren't that many clubs that are looking to train a player like this. They either want complete players, proven talented players or to train for profit. And I didn't list at an optimal time of the day/season.

That could be my next model if it all goes pear shaped in qualifier….
….sell my best older players & best 3-4 older trainees (or best 3-4 younger trainees), & bank the funds….
….then play 10 trainees as my first XI.

4 formidable youths between 17-19yo & 5-13 weeks left in school….& GK outstanding in 2 weeks, so something to hope for.
