Gareth Peake, age: 22
club: Achmids Soul, country: Australia
value : 698 800 AU$
wage: 8 600 AU$
formidable [11] form
incredible [13] tactical discipline
height: 181 cm, weight: 81.6 kg, BMI: 24.91
bookings:
good [7] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
outstanding [12] pace solid [8] defender
formidable [11] technique formidable [11] playmaker
formidable [11] passing good [7] striker

I did just buy him but with a couple of pulls, he has found himself at the bottom of the pack.
He has popped in Tech and def since I brought him in.

+3 pace
+1 tech
+1 play
+1 pass

yes he was passed around training slots like the proverbial town bicycle
2025-10-02 17:23:38
Nice :) if you manage to make his pace 16 early, he would have a lot of chances to be important.. we lack of mids HARD
2025-10-03 03:44:46
Oh in my sick haze I forgot to mention the most important thing. I am selling him as I have had a couple of good pulls
2025-10-03 18:01:07
If you look in rooster thread you can see he is not top of rank for last 2 seasons 21 yo end season, and several of the others had better pace, also this generation of 21 yo's several will bypass him ..

Galan popped this week to 15 pace just before he turns 23. Do people think there's scope to get him to 16 pace and still round out his Tech, Pass and PM to a decent level or do I need to cap pace training now he is at 15?

I reckon Tech and PM are close to popping if that makes a difference.

Brodie Galan, age: 22
club: Hajduk Hobart, country: Australia
value : 1 451 600 AU$
wage: 13 320 AU$
brilliant [14] form
magical [15] tactical discipline
height: 176 cm, weight: 79.3 kg, BMI: 25.6

formidable [11] stamina hopeless [1] keeper
magical [15] pace formidable [11] defender
excellent [10] technique incredible [13] playmaker
incredible [13] passing average [5] striker

I'd switch now personally. He needs a lot of work on tech and then some more into passing and pm. How many weeks did it take him to get to magical? It will be that +1/2 more weeks to get to unearthly. If that takes half the season or more away you don't want to be caught short of your other primaries. You can come back to pace if there is time.

Edit: I'd almost be tempted to start with passing/pm get them to say 15 each and come back to tech once that has been achieved. Alternatively get tech to 12/13 then switch so you've at least got something if all else fails.

Id give him 6 weeks pace, then let gt work for some seasons on it. Go to tech for rest of 23 and all 24, then he should look like this at start 25

15+++pace, 11++ def
14 tech, 14 pm
14 pass

Then decide weither to make him this

16-14
15-15
15

Or this

16-12
17-14
16

By the time he turns 28+

1st scenario you give tech+pass+pm same amount as it took to level before but not let it pop by giving more then that, but let gt work, then when done start def

2nd scenario you work on tech till 16, then pass till 16, then tech and pace finish .... In this scenario id say extra trainings in pace+tech+pass isnt wasted, as he plays with sublevels, and he could actually have used a bit more

It should be coordinated with nt manager what is most needed... Current squad i know needs def mid most

50 def mid sum before age 20... Very close to 13 pace
2025-12-18 19:32:42
There is also 3rd scenario I'll take into consideration -> moving him into def. 17/17 is doable (I'm assuming he have talent 3.5) and because of his side skills, he should like like this at 28
17 17
15 14
14 x

Which will be amazing for Australia def line. In all the scenarios there is one point in common. Sooner or later he'll need tech training, so if You have a slot for it, I would go for it. But in the end this will be Your choice and You'll select what You'll think would be the best for him :)

Nice player
2025-12-19 04:52:17
Thanks for the advice guys - I'm going to stick with Galan as a mid - he's 3 off my only17/17 Def at the same age whereas other than Hooker a year behind him he's the best mid I've ever trained so want to stick with it, but some good options/reassurance provided there so appreciate it. Cheers and Merry Christmas

It depends if you want to target 16 pace for him. If you want him to be 16 pace, I'd give him the extra 6/7 weeks now, as adaca said. After 24yo, you really don't want to be training pace.

Having said that, I stopped training Boutsi 23yo at magical pace to focus on his mid skills. I need to decide soon whether to commit to getting him 16 pace too. He took 7 weeks to reach magical pace.

It looks like Australia will have really strong MID players comparing to one that were in NT, back when I was a coach :)

For example my Papaluca is done with pace training as well and will be a decent winger in few seasons ;) (with no injuries he will be 4x17)
