Subject: [NT] Player Transfers

2026-03-04 14:32:58
Do you think Zdrilla will reach 17 tech with two full seasons of tech? If you think so, I'll be in for him.

I'm thinking of when to sell Crews. Do you think people would pay more for a striker on the day of the last league game of the season or on the day of the qualifying match?

I'd like to list him at daytime hours, so maybe Sunday is better than Wednesday.

Also, do you think players drop form when they're removed from advanced training?

Rose hasn’t lost form for me since dropping him from advanced training. Neither have Renaud or Scuderi.

I’d almost be tempted to list end of season around the time of seasonal payouts. Many are looking for building their next season squad then. You’ll be competing with many others though but you might just get a better draw from a sale

That's right, you see a lot of players listed around end of season bonus time and just after the last match of the season.

Players are likely to go for more on the last league match than Q match imo just due to difference in number of people maybe wanting them

Noone knows about form. Devs say there are things that can change it, and there are lots of theories, but noone actually knows. Generally it is some combination of number of matches per week, position played, and getting injured/transfered can really upend someones form. I suspect the training aspect doesn't play a role, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did (based on the minutes and matches thing possibly trying to replicate some sort of long term fatigue)

2 seasons if tech for Zdrillic may get his tech up, but I wouldn't be surprised to see his pace drop to Unearthly unless there is a lot of extra training in it. In which case, it may be a waste doing the tech (especially with some young monster strikers coming through)

What I’ll say about form is it’s not truely random. There’s a large random element but the fact we see players stuck at either end of the scale and not average out in the middle is pretty clear it’s not truely equally likely to go up or down every update. We also have been told many times before that form is complicated to mess with (pure random would be easy to understand and not complicated at all to explain). We’ve even been told certain “events” so to speak that can influence the likelihood of form going up or down.

The only true randomness is not knowing what those events are and if they’re the same for all players or different. The rest of the rng is just weighted by these events I’d be guessing so it’s not always equally likely to go up or down.

I've listed Crews at a neutral time. Should give people a chance to get him. So far only 2 3x 17 strikers on the TL.

I'm hoping there are teams out there keen to finish the season strong.

I’d be very interested and would fit my training plans (pm/pass) but I’m not sure I’d want to spend as much as he’s going to sell for. I’ll keep an eye out though as he would be a good fit for me

He's finally done it and popped in tech.
I don't think he ever reaches 17 tech but this is just my assumption. Of course, there's always a chance with a bit of luck that he might get there at the end of the next season, so by the time he's almost 29. For me? It's a waste of time and training spot, especially with some younger hot gunners in the queue.
As for all the other question (lots of them :D), I stand with cometer and achmid on these matters and have nothing else to add.

As the season's coming to an end, I think it's the right time to say goodbye. If anyone of you is interested, let me know if you would like me to list at a friendly time.

You see a striker who will soon be overtaken. I see a current Sokkeroo, with untapped potential as a GK making late runs into the box and who will wreak havoc in div 5 of the International Cup. :P

He'd be a great striker for an A-League club. Too good for div 2 but I'll go for him if no-one else is keen. I can't afford to break the bank though.

Well done training him to this level. Another success story.

On the form question...
For me, form tends to trend up when:
- playing regularly
- winning

And tends to trend down when:
- not playing
- losing
- transferred
- switching position (def-mid-att)
- not advanced training

But that's just my small sample set.
Maybe there is a hidden stat for player mood, which affects form. Sokker loves a hidden stat.

It's quite likely that training doesn't affect it, 'cos would they really have tinkered with the form algorithm when implementing the change of training system? Unlikely.

Crews found a new home.... in the top league in Poland. He just banged in a brace to keep WHITE TIGERS out of the playoff spots, for now.

Nice, he joins shipley there.

If the price hits the ceiling or noone is interested, I'm going for him.
