I'll have a hard time surviving in div 5 this season. At least I can go all out for it. I like having the extra comp and a chance to play official matches against randoms from around the world.

Need to remember these are now “trainable” matches.
5-1 to kick start this campaign.

People are paranoid about injuries so will use these matches for training as a way of protest. Whilst they should have reduced injuries it won’t stop me trying to be competitive in all formats. That being said, I expect to be far less competitive come next week if I remember to list players.

I'd like to do well in the International Cup. There'll be some training to juggle while chasing 3 trophies. I'll have to gauge each week where the opportunities will be for training.

While maintaining full training, I'll be doing all I can to not get relegated, if not promote or win the IC.

If Achmid kicks away to an early lead again in A-League, it'll make things easier. If a trophy is not possible, I'd rather finish 6th in the league and promote in IC than finish 2nd in the league and not promote or get relegated in IC.

Does anyone know if red cards from local games carry into IC games, or irrelevant as with friendlies?

And after the match the red card is gone, and any new one is for next official match. So the card system stick together

That’s handy for my striker, who racks up a red in league but can continue next league game. :)

In other news I’m looking almost certain to get through my group this season. Just need 1 more point from the 3 remaining games and it should be enough of results to the way they have. Ideally getting another 3 points would be safer.

A bit the same….although I lost my main striker for 24 days on the back of a 30-0 victory, when due to be subbed off 4 minutes later. :(

It’ll be interesting how far I can go in div4 (with mostly a B team so far).
9 points banked in league & those reverse games don’t come back around until end of season, so IC could become a priority.

International Cup - Season 2 - is well and truely underway.

4 rounds in of the round robin phase, and boy are things interesting. Also to be more interesting, it seems like the draws have meant that the 1st cup number in easy division has all the top teams, the last cup number in each division has the weakest, and that this trend has occured throughout.

So saying that, where do all the long term Aussies stand after 4 rounds?

Did you go through every cup league? I'm surprised you can't link from a club page to their international cup league.

I don't know what cup CK are in, but it looks like they'll be relegated.

Thanks for putting together the summary. Looking good for a lot of clubs to at least retain our positions.

Maybe next season we should all announce which cup we're in, for those who want to follow the Aus clubs.

Yeah I went through every one. It was a pain, but atleast we are doing well as a nation

First job done. I'm confirmed in 2nd spot now. I assume that means I'll draw a group winner in the knockout phase.
