wonsky90 to All
Hi,

My name is Łukasz. I have some experience with Sokker. I was playing since 2007 to 2016. Nów I made to the Polish III division with a rather weak squad.

Last season I was trying my skills with Island NT, where I won against al-Jazā’ir and Slovensko with much better team than Island. I’m not playing every game with the same tactic and trying different tactical solution depending on the opponent.

After season of experience with Island, where is not even 1 active player I’d like to try my skill with better team :)

Hi Łukasz, thanks for choosing to run for Aus NT. I imagine there are some added challenges when managing the team of a country with active users. Are you prepared for the extra workload?

Thanks to the commitment of a small but strong training community, we've built quite a capable squad.

It should offer the successful candidate an interesting challenge.

Good luck in the election. :)

Good luck Lucasz. And happy birthday to your daughter.

Could you tell us a bit about how you would run the Aussie NT? And what would be a good season?

First I need to check what kind of players can play in Aus NT, because there were none midfield players in Ísland and I played with defender on DEF-MID :)

I prefer the WING tactic, but I try to combine and play differently, recently less often with 4 defenders, on Saturday in Ísland I will play for tests 523, so we'll see.

How would you manage the player pool and communicate with training managers?

You'll find some midfielders here. Enough for tactical options, I think. We have a reasonable squad, just lack depth in some areas.

Next season Australian NT will play only friends and there are no risk of injuries only booking risk, so I think anyone can play and be tested. Except injured players ofc (even in official matches).

About training - there is more job to do for U21 coach than senior team, but of course i can ask trainers what they plan to train with promising players and suggest what player need to do, to play in NT.

Every team has ATT, DEF, MID, GK, its just that people develop expectations based on either previous teams managed, other seasons managed, or actually forgetting what was previously there/comparing to one particular player.

The problem with the large nations is the top players can actually be hard to tell the difference between the mids and defenders (almost) as all the mids have magical/unearthly defender, and all the defenders have brilliant/Magical secondaries.

Now obviously there is some tongue in cheek, because if Australia has a number of 2x SD defenders or very recently dropped ones, then their defenders would also have this, but with smaller nations, you can definitely tell that a player is a defender or a midfielder.

As u21 coach, which is a little different, I have definitely played defenders as mids depending on the tactic used.

Training discussions are very important for the senior NT as well, because you need to be able to see the future of who is worth continuing to train, have adequate back ups also being training incase future stars have injuries, fall into the wrong teams or the team goes bot. You also need to be able to do this over a number of seasons, both comparing to players older, and younger to see where they will be useful. Then you need to be able to convice people to continue to train even 27/28yos. But at the same time, there is a limited training pool, so it is equally important to know when to have a player stop being trained, otherwise that is one training spot being wasted on a player. And being the only one with that information...or at least being the one in charge of it, it's up to you to appropriately manage this.

And that is only a small aspect of being a top-tier coach, which most managers aren't.

Some of the best NT managers in the game never tried to manage a team that would ever be strong enough to actually win a world cup, but they knew how to put together all the factors that make a great manager. And on the flip side, some not great managers have won world cups, purely because they have had the strongest team.

Good luck in the elections. This country has a lot of very committed managers to strengthening the NT, so for the right NT manager, it is a gold mine just waiting to be unearthed, just like the u21 squad. But due to the size of the nation it can also go very wrong when the wrong coach is in place, and can really define whether an NT manager is actually good or bad.

of course every team has players for every position, but in team like Island you have to chose to play MID with excellent DEF or formidable tech/pass, and other max brilliant skills, that's why i said that there are no MID players

its harder to coordinate training older players for senior NT. A lot of depends on the couches, you can only ask if he can train some skills but if he has no space for training it, cuz they train other players with different lack of skills than you can do nothing.
