Subject: Youth players
Only evens out if their random number starts at their correct number and ends at their correct number.
Even in a long, 32 week junior, if his true talent is 4, and true starting and end levels are as follows 2 and 10.
Say due to the random, his initial level says he is 2 levels less than his true and at the end, it randomly says he is higher by two, so his range is 0 and 12, then his talent will be calculated at 2.67 the old way.
Now say it says he is higher by 2 than what he is when he enters, and says his level is lower by 2 than what it is when he leaves, then his level range is 4 and 8, meaning his calculated talent the old way is 8.
I believe the variation is up to 3, so even further apart numbers, but its easy to see why the old way of calculating things gives very incorrect values.
Just to add to see why the new way of calculating is required. It looks at every "random" number given by sokker, so every value, and not just the first and last help to determine the true talent. More data gives a better estimate. So whilst it still wont be correct, the variation should be a lot less from the real thing.

No idea of talent, was only in junior school 3 weeks and was good the whole time. Could be great or terrible. Will sell.

As part of my change of strategy over the past few seasons I’ve almost got to my end state of 10 home grown youth team midfielders in my squad at all times. Just one outsider left being Forko who will be offloaded at the end of next season. Can’t let him go until age 29 as he is a beast!
...and given the low number of engaged managers it’d be great if others could try this strategy as well to produce NAT players. Plus it gives you the optimal financial return if you know when to sell.
I am definitely attempting to build up the future of Australian defenders, but unfortunately there haven't been too many potentials out there (which I could afford). Currently have 3 being trained, and the U21 GK as well (although even if trained properly, he could never be NAT level as we had a couple of great ones relatively recently).
I'm not sure if I will stick to defenders long term though, may change in the future depending on how much players develop and money in the bank.

Put a nominal bid in as can at least train pace for now....if I get him?
I think he will go for a fair bit, but if you did get him, pace would definitely go down well.
He will randomly pop in keeper at some stage getting him to formidable which would be nice too.
What a shame to see a magical youth be a keeper. Although magical at 17yo is pretty incredible and rare (even this late in the season).
I had one that was looking on target to get there, but now he is playing regularly in my youth side, I see his talent isn`t quite as good as what he was shown to be at first

Newton already has a 200+k bid, which I can still afford, but looking at one more stadium upgrade before I start spending on my squad. :(
You sold the following player: Mike Newton and received 1 366 480 AU$.
Check out my favourite midfielder. Came out of my youth school as a magical with great talent. Turning into an absolute beast!
