Subject: Youth players

Dean Stephenson - Instincts say he is a defender. He is currently 3rd/4th for his age.
As a mid, he is actually 3rd for his age as well thanks to the great tech.

Alexander Blute - we don't have any other 16yo striker yet, but that will change. I think he is probably bound for the sack bin, but like any 16yo in Aus, they always have a chance if trained and talented. Up to you, I'd throw him repeatedly on the TL for a week, and if no bites, give the boot

Happy to sell Stephenson for $1 if anyone wants him.

Solid. Unknown talent. Came in as good, spent 3 weeks at adequate, jumped to solid before being pulled)

Tyson Duffield, age: 17

value: 68 400 AU$
wage: 1 200 AU$
very good form

tragic stamina hopeless keeper
unsatisfactory pace good defender
adequate technique tragic playmaker
poor passing average striker

Nice one, get some pace in to him, check his talent, and then decide whether to keep or sell
2020-04-16 08:42:56
Excellent

Mick Collins, age: 20

club: Achmids Soul, country: Australia,
value: 92 800 AU$, wage: 1 520 AU$,
very good form, tragic tactical discipline,
height: 178 cm, weight: 76.4 kg, BMI: 24.11

average stamina hopeless keeper
adequate pace tragic defender
very good technique hopeless playmaker
poor passing poor striker

What a pleb. Staminafied. Sacked

Very Good

Alexander Agostino, age: 18

club: Achmids Soul, country: Australia,
value: 88 800 AU$, wage: 1 440 AU$,
very good form, tragic tactical discipline,
height: 174 cm, weight: 75.2 kg, BMI: 24.84

tragic stamina tragic keeper
hopeless pace good defender
good technique good playmaker

weak passing tragic striker

Quite good for someone training pace as that hopeless will pop fast, and he already has good secondaries for a defender. Chance of making the U21 team? Slim (ie don't both naph).

True talent is 5 (excel equation). 9 pops in 28 weeks.

Will be sold

value: 140 800 AU$
wage: 2 000 AU$
very good form

height: 174 cm, weight: 77.2 kg, BMI: 25.5

good stamina tragic keeper
weak pace poor defender
excellent technique adequate playmaker
weak passing average striker

Oh that stamina KILLED him. It's something that really needs to be rewritten in the youth calculations.

For those who many not have read, when an analysis was done (a long time ago) they found that skills got allocated based on a percent of maximum skill, which makes sense, because 7 of the 8 skills all have the same end point (SD = 18). But this same thing was used on stamina, which only has an endpoint of either 11, or 11.99 (can't remember).

This means that for every point that randomly got distributed to stamina, would have been equal to 1.5points in another skill. So for naphs pull there, if that good stamina was tragic, it would have given another 10 skill levels to be spread among pace, def, pass, play and striker.

Without even perfect placement, he probably would have looked something like this

adequate pace weak defender
excellent technique very good playmaker
adequate passing good striker

Unlikely to make the U21 team as either a striker (5th best for age) or mid (6th best for age, but 3 of those above him are one year younger). Try to sell him off.

Awaiting advice from our U21 ninja :)

Will plug them in when I get a chance, but Upton looks very good, esp as a 17yo. Perre will be interesting to see how he compares to Van G, and naphs ex-youth

Elrich, try to sell and see if there are any bites. 16yos always have the chance if talented.
2020-04-16 17:10:00
OK update for those players.
Let's start with the more exciting one.

Graeme Upton (17yo) - Most exciting as a MID. #1 U17, #3 U18, #5 U19. But he also has some promise as a defender (just less so). If he is a DEF, #2 U17, #5 U18.

Adam Perre (18yo) is also quite a decent pull but if you were thinking of buying Worthy, I wouldn't bother with Perre. MID: #5 U18 (almost identical to #4, except Perre can't defend, and #3 is Upton). #8 U19

I'm also not sure how up to date your U21 players are agbell, but feel free to send me the updates so I can tell you how they are tracking. May help decide who to train

Tidied up my youth players that I hadn't placed on the market yet...

You sold the following player: Adam Perre and received 950 AU$.
You sold the following player: Hugh Hunold and received 950 AU$.
You sold the following player: Graeme Upton and received 3 100 800 AU$.
You sold the following player: Dean Stephenson and received 12 160 AU$.
You sold the following player: Vicenzo Gray and received 5 700 AU$.
2020-04-21 07:54:29
Upton is a gun, so good to see the person who bought him values him.

Gray is definitely right in with chance of playing for NT as a striker if he gets pace training
2020-04-21 10:37:08
Yeah I may end up regretting selling him... just too busy to put the analysis into shaking up my current training squad. He's gone to a good home, I've spoken to the new owner (in broken spanish) and looks like a good fit.

And the cash is nice :)
2020-04-21 11:45:35
Nice. Yeah unfortunately, we don't have enough trainers to do it all on our own, so some do need to be trained elsewhere.

I've sent a message to Grays new owner too.
2020-04-21 11:46:18
Oh and I spoke to cometer, he said he hasn't ruled out coming back, especially after I told him about the two new devs and the forum actually discussing ideas etc.
