Subject: Youth players
Very good junior recruitment. I propose mid training for Sevin, and striker training for Aloisi.
I would expect Sevin would be right up there as both a mid and defender looking at those skills. Wow, take your pick.
I'm puling a few outstandings/incredibles myself in a few weeks. They won't be 17 when I pull them though, I have them at 19 counting the age updates happening soon. Hoping for something from that as I've been dry for a while.

If Aloisi had either pace/striker or pm swapped with technique I'd have been quite keen. Might consider it anyway, but I've only just finished training tech for a while. I'll have a think and keep an eye out as I may be able to get away with a season more pace/striker ahead of the new training system coming in down the road (whenever that ends up being).
Pulled as good.

So I've been away a bit and I come back to find I have a junior in my school who is 20 years old, and 30 weeks until they come out.
Surely this can't be right as he will be half way through being a 22yo by the time he graduates.

They had a bug a week or two ago(it’s now fixed) where juniors could enter as 19. That came the first week after the infrastructure changes and rollout of the new league systems. There were significant issues in that rollout and this was one of them. They fixed it such that max age again was 18 but they didn’t retrospectively fix the players that came out incorrectly.
Edit: probably worth noting that there are now 3 official games a week (4 if you are in champions cup) so don’t let that catch you out when trying to work out training. Good opportunity this season for those of us with young trainees and not really good enough to win our league or not bad enough to lose it to give 2 games full training to talented trainees where possible for max training for the player.

...or at least tank the "unwinnable" league games to prioritise youth training. :D
Well yeah but I’d like to be able to tank once a week and not a full week in a season. :p. That could have happened had the draw been a little better thought out with a mixture of strong/weaker side fixtures rather than all strong or all weaker at once in a clump.
However that could have lead to stronger sides playing reduced squads which would open up a possibility not to tank adding tactical/strategical options. Oh well it’s not that so we deal with what we’ve been dealt

Interested to know what everyone's YS averages are for age/level, & size.....to fathom how U21 NT future is looking. :)
I have tightened my criteria for keeping youths & going for quality over quantity, ensuring I leave maximum weekly slots for new youths.
My current stats with Brilliant (14) Coach -
Youths = 22 (30 slots)
Average Age = 17.7 yo
Ave Weeks to exit = 13.27
Average Level = Good (7.2)
Based on the above, my average youth pull is expected to be mid 18yo @ Excellent(10) level - using average talent of 5.0
Hopefully these figures improve as I look to cull more duds once identified.
