Depends on how long before you give him pace as pace is the slowest skill and is even slower with age the older they get. Looks handy though.

Renaud looks to be a little behind but hard to say given Renaud has more pace currently and has missed 3 weeks training as he got injured for the u21 side in a wcq.

Knowing what we have there’s a really cool crop coming through I’m excited to see what happens in say 3-4 seasons more training as it could give us some good depth for the senior side.

Burton really moved up the ranks the past couple of seasons. His talent is really shining through.

When I saw his double pop today, I was like $$$$

Schofield has him covered though right ;)

If the U21s were to end today, he would be the 3rd best midfielder we have had graduate since I started coaching the U21s.

He will have just pipped Van Gisbergen, and be behind Bishop and Sutton

Exciting to get a Bril. 3.18 talent from SA. Doesn't look that great though.

Unlucky of the distribution of passing on your brilliant there. Otherwise could have been a decent trainee. Generally speaking it often works out better to get a 16yo solid/vg than it does to get a 19/20yo brilliant+. Simply because the highest skill one can be assigned is excellent and those lower levels can be caught up quickly with more time for training. Not always the case mind you but often that’s how it plays out. If your brilliant was 18 going on 19 or it was the start of the season I’d still say he was a decent pull worth training if you just sank pace into him but given he is effectively 20 I think he’s lost too much time.

16 yo was supposedly very good and the 17yo only solid - 17yo being 11 levels higher seems odd, but such is life.

16 yo on market and I'll think about replacing an older trainee with the 17yo, but chances are once I've done the maths he'll go as well and neither will make me rich....

Looking for a player to fill one of my slots. Preferably for def, pace, tech or gk. No age or price limits as long as there's a point in training the guy you're going to offer.

So I suspect your 16yo wasn’t vg and he was overestimated by your youth coach. Guessing he hasn’t been around too long to get a better estimate. Looking at skills you’re looking at maybe a good instead.

On the flipside the 17yo looks better than a solid. Looks to be a high vg - very low excellent, so I suspect your youth coach has underestimated him.
