Subject: Youth players

These are very interesting stats. Would certainly be good to see the trend with all the stats for players that have played for the U21s over the past say 6 or so seasons

Talent 3.5, solid. Another talented guy who probably won't sell.

Rex Harland, age: 19, height: 168 cm
value: 42 000 AU$, wage: 920 AU$
club: Cool Runnings, country: Australia
form [9] very good, tactical discipline [0] tragic

stamina [4] weak, keeper [0] tragic
pace [6] adequate, defender [5] average
technique [3] poor, playmaker [5] average
passing [0] tragic, striker [0] tragic

Good. Talent 4.42. GK

Craig Lewis, age: 17
club: Achmids Soul, country: Australia
value : 125 200 AU$
wage: 1 200 AU$
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 199 cm, weight: 97.3 kg, BMI: 24.57

unsatisfactory [2] stamina good [7] keeper
tragic [0] pace
hopeless [1] defender
hopeless [1] technique hopeless [1] playmaker
weak [4] passing tragic [0] striker

To be honest, couldn't have expected more from a good level. Will be selling as not as good as my current 17yo GK trainee (who to be fair isn't that great, but we need a GK in the future)

All these players are once they come out of the academy right?
2024-01-22 07:07:06
Yes as that’s the first chance they get to see the skills. I believe the players already have skills and they just improve gradually as they improve and this reflects their overall estimated level. So if you watch youth matches (they’re usually not very good viewing perspective) you can sometimes see whether a player has got a high or low amounts in certain skills.

Most of the posts here you will see someone post the level they exited the youth system along with an approximate talent that they’ve worked out (usually it’s through other tools like sokker assistante). The lower that number is the faster they’ll train, and then they will post the player and their skill set.

Helps to drive interest in players or even just the fun of seeing what others got. Also helps someone like Achmid who runs the u21 NT to be able to catch any potential u21 players so we don’t miss out on following their development.

No one actually watches youth matches do they?!?!?

Depends if you care enough about winning the junior A League or not. I’ve done it on many an occasion. Haven’t for a while though.

Yeah that makes sense. But for me the juice is not worth the squeeze.

2024-01-25 12:34:24
Decent. How about the price? :)
2024-01-26 08:38:21
Yeah it’s definitely a striker or midfielder. Could be either. Think striker is a better fit here though given age and low passing and defender skill. Nice pull

Edit: Be interesting to see what Achmid thinks about striker/mid though

Looks better than a vg to me. Looks like an excellent. That being said nice pull, looks promising as a defender. One to ensure gets trained properly and if they have any talent I’d be surprised if you didn’t get some money for your effort there.
