as def, he is 3rd close to 2nd u17

Yeah looking at my current/ex-trainees, Def is the position he's closest to. Still likely to be behind the only Def I've had play u21s, but given his talent seems good he might make it.

Awful distribution on Cole, too much stamina and no tech

He is 2nd u18 att, 3rd u18 mid and 4 u18 def....... i would choose between winger and att

He can also be a nice def with that high pace..... and talent is nuts hehe...... but still a shame with a distribution gone everywhere

What could have been. Still trainable though. I’d probably have him as a striker myself. Passing and defender skills can come in handy. As a defender you lose all benefit of the striker skill and you’re training 3/4 skills. 2 of the primary 3 from a very low base. Midfielder think he’s a bit old for that when you have so much tech to train.

But still, with that talent, age and excellent being on pace, very trainable.

I think it's a toss up of some quick tech training vs the usual pace followed by something else (probably tech in this case, at least for a little bit).

Whilst I didn't have the same, I had a high end youth pull (I think they were outfield and not GK), who had like Poor/Weak GK, and basically zero playmaker. He still dominated in u21s and expect him to play a role for seniors in a couple of seasons

Aside from stamina, it's not so bad. Of all skills to be low, tech trains the fastest. I don't think he even needs tech training yet. Whatever you want to train will work for him now.

Oh, that's true, pass and PM are faster. I was looking at him as a striker.

Tech is still pretty fast though. After a few tech pops and the odd random pop and he'll look a lot better.
