Update on our opener.

We've obviously now lost our star man but that aside 2 players are still showing slight injuries but i'm fairly confident that both will be fit to play if selected.

Only downside is McDermott's form which had been rising the last few weeks has now taken a dive back down to unsatisfactory so that opens the door for Philip O'Neil to come into the squad for Saturday, probably deserved in all honesty after his goal v England ensured our participation at this World Cup.

Gary MacInnes is still showing a slight injury, i was sure that he'd be clear by today at the latest.

Fortunately we do have decent cover so it shouldn't make too much difference..he says hopefully
