Tactics are a bit like real life, dont play a back 3 for example if you expect your opponent to use wingers, you have to mark them. Also look at their defence,try and place your strikers where they can get maximum space.

In the film he only sets up his defence whilst moving the ball through 4 squares, to make it properly you will need to adjust every player whilsrt moving the ball through every square.

Have switched them now.... grrr

If you can afford it then get some better coaches. You really want unearthly in the skill that you are training (defence ) and as high as possible in other skills to aid side pops. Keeping keeper skill low though keeps down the coach's wage so that can be low as you want.

Also go for 3 asst coaches around very good-formidable, again only if you can afford it.

I notice that you are only playing 3 def's per match and one guy is now 27.Only train players up to a maximum of 23 unless they are vital to your team. You can train 10 defs a week so change to 5 in your league games and 5 others in your friendly/cup match. This way you'll train 10 players a week and with better coaches you'll see massive improvements from what you have been seeing lately.

If you want to look for coaches on the TL go to transfers > trainers then put defender minimum unearthy, keeper maximum excellent. There's quite a few cheap guys there just now.
