Subject: [u21] Indonesia Vs Scotland

OK this one will all be discussed in here. It will be an early ko for us (half 12 our time). Its effectively the WC squad which begins from now. Obviously many changes will be on board. A new tactic has been created which i will divuldge nearer the game (really wish there was a half hour lock out of tactics so i can put them in here knowing there is nothing the opponent can do).

For us - i dont really see the team being weakened that much after losing the 21yr olds. There isnt anywhere on the park where i think "oh crap i wished we still had player X" - midfield is still the weakest area for us but its not looking that bad (injuries permitting of course).

For indonesia they have had a massive loss in that they lose their 1.7m rated keeper to a 410k valued keeper. There are definite weaknesses in their formation and tactics which should be exploited by our 9 forwards :D

The formation is 4-4-2 and is quite attacking. The forwards are placed in what i hope are the holes, we shall wait and see. One thing to note in all of this - we are seriously lacking in midfielders who can pass a ball. Injuries to any of the guys you see above will result in us seriously lacking in that dept - HOWEVER - it can be resolved by moving up the defenders i.e. reece wilk, Darren and replacing them with lower standard defenders. So it will be a juggling act (is that a surprise, not really).

I have noticed that a few u21 teams still have 22 yr olds in their squad, indonesia dont - i wonder if any of them will have the balls to try to play them.


Interesting - Yes they can. 3 22yo players played for New Zealand today. thats from the internation forums

If 22 year olds can play then i'd guess that the older guys can too?

yes, apparently the script to kick out 21+ yo didnt work. NZ played with 22yo today

it can be easily fixed mate - run a squirrel query to remove them straight from the database core and voila they are gone

our last fixture in the friendly season is against hong kong.

The draw for the u21s may be tomorrow tho there is some confusion as i am reading it as it will be on the same day as the NT which is apparently on Sunday

im a little worried about hong kong as they had no fixture this week. Fingers crossed.
